I just saw this video yesterday. I would never have thought to change out the rubber deck to skateboard grip. Did it today and it's given personalization to an otherwise bland scooter. Boy it adds a whole new level of grip. Much more in-tune with the deck, carving is next level and there's now no slip when wet. Love your vids. Cheers RK9!
I bought some grip tape and end mounted mirrors for the handlebars on Amazon and then checked YT for more ideas. It seems I'm in the right frame of mind. Never considered solid or honey tires, but now it seems pretty genius.
Nice short video there and informative! .. you can also go tubeless tyres if you want to stay pneumatic.. just remember the slime and take a pump with you when out riding. Only other upgrade to note that alot of people overlook is the steering damper kit.. that dials in the handling massively giving total control at high speeds with no wheel wobble or train tracking so to speak! with a scooter like the mantis pro capable of 35-40mph.. dampers are pretty much a must :)
At 7:14 the scooter with the yellow grips has turn signals on the tips of the handle bars. I have a scooter like that. How do you install the grips over the turn signals? Is there a video on that?
The upgrades that I have done to my scoot, is to change the handle bar to the Vsett 10+ folding handlebar and the grips to the ones found on the Varla Eagle One and the Zero 10x. Since my scoot is mainly black I'm going for a stealth black bomber look. Great video 👌
Rugged folding clamp was really great improvement for my Zero10X. I just use ergonomic bicycle handlebar grips and they feel great. But the steering damper from aliexpress was a disappointment. Now I am waiting for a twist throttle for my Emove Cruiser.
So I'm about to buy an e scooter. For downtown riding o work and simply because I love any form of speed. I think a must have is foldable motorcycle mirrors mounted a little in front of the bar. As well as makimg some sort of turn signal.
Just got mine. So far i only really put on a phone holder and cause i dont have yet a powerbank holder i put on some velcro to place the powerbank on😂 works shockingly well
This might sound weird but the grips I have gone for is a hand wrap done the in the same way as a samurai swords grip style which is a hand wrap. And it looks great, works great and gives it a personal touch that haven’t seen anywhere else.
Thanks for the video grips are not cheap it all depends what would the person like to go with a good set of grips run more than 35 bucks and up. I mountain bike this experience applies to this video.
Hey i have a go Trax rivel are there any upgrades like suspension, or anything to make it a easier ride probably a stupid question but really want to get shocks and tires
For your handlebars, go to a machine shop and have them weld a chunk of 22.2mm stock in the middle of your handlebars of choice, so long as you don’t have to slide the bars into place.
I have the kukirin g3 pro and i want to change out the handle bars.but i dnt know the size of the handle bars.and also the grips size.i will be happy to to order the site
Bro awesome contain...big salute..thanks for the links..i have a hiboy titan pro and its hard to find rear light up fender to go with it..and I wanna change my deck like u did on both your scooters..u have any sites for that? i seen your video and it motivated me to custom my scooter I'm tired of this look from the factory..
Hi ive only just watched your vid , have considered Renthal bar 22.5 mtx / trials bike , ive been using them for about 20 yrs on mountain bikes , theyre light & wide & come various widths , some the brace bar across + theyre 780mm wide for better handling ? Stu G.
If I'm using a scooter with good suspension (10x like), will I notice that I'm running solid tires? Tempted to switch to solid on my Apollo Ghost when I run out of tubes so I never get flats again but don't want to make my ride less comfortable
My blade 10 Pro/Evo is my faster crusier, incidentally my current handlebar has a lot of rise and very little backsweep. It is what I love on the Varla Eagle One (handlebar grips too). I don't really care for folding the aspect, but it's okay I guess. I am happy about the fact that it sports a 31.8m handlebar, so customization is a much welcome addition. Good video, stay safe and ride on bro.
All motorcycle handlebars are 22mm, and u have a lots of hight double level 700mm wide if look for stability, i use a Honda XL200 model, it's perfect and gain space to accesories, dont need any adapter to install and forget the handlebars extensión, thats why kaabo mantis use 22mm, more options and most stronger than bike handlebars up 50km/h in casé of crash

I haven't published a dedicated video about switching tires, but I feel almost no difference in performance or how it handles large bumps on the mantis after switching. I can feel more on smaller bumps and patches of bad road but I much rather have a slightly bumpier ride than deal with changing and paying for innertubes.
I find it absolutely amazing how you managed to take what amounts to about 2 paragraphs of text and stretch it out to nearly 12 minutes of video with so much goddamn bloat. Feeding the algorithm much?
Hey rk9 we need a page to share all our custamizations and exibit all our super scoots ! Just food for though. I heavily modified mine to have a rear luggage rack abd a few other things as well . No its not mounted to the swing arms
Good idea! Been thinking about adding a gallery to the website of viewer-submitted photos of their scooters. I'll keep you updated on when that happens!
U should do a review on the cyclone 100 kph scooter it's a hyper tho idk if ur into that. Sick vids anyways I've def found comfort getting into the scooter game w ur vids
You have tons of options for under 2k. The Varla Eagle One gives you a lot for the money. I know people really like Apollo Scooters and Dualtron scooters and they both have a few different scooter around or under 2k
@@RK9Rides Varla ads had been popping up left and right, kind of set my mine to Varla. LOL That was why I want to see if there are better options out there.
You have installed the inner part of the gasket-like parts on the front and back of the front wheel nut incorrectly. Attention to those who will take it as an example.
Enjoying your vids dude! Whats your opinion on steering dampeners for the Eagle one? I've been thinking about getting one, but the scooter hasn't been shipped yet.
I have never used steering dampers before but I don't feel like the Eagle One needs it. There is another comment on this video that said he got a steering damper and was disappointed. But again, never tried them so I don't have a solid opinion on them
@RK9 Rides I bought a pair of knuckeduster grips because the flared out style of grips were leaving my hands numb. Last night I rode on them for the first time, no hand numbness! I loved it so much I ordered another pair for my e-bike! :D
Great video. New subscriber and loyal follower. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction as a new rider. Also I really like the black and white grip tape for the Varla. Mine is on the way and would love to go with the same look. Do you mind sharing where you purchased your grip tape? Thx RK9!!
This is my first scooter and probably the best toy I've had in my 38 years of life ; ) ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxvyNuxpWiHTNypxG6nyqyf7ywc7Q16PDM The assembly was easy - Took me 10-12 mins to get it set up and enjoy a quick ride before putting it on the charger for the full charge.I love the push-off feature vs. some of the other scooters that start with direct acceleration. I believe this allows a bit more of a stable start with a jerk reaction. I also like the throttle/acceleration feature that its a slow increase in speed vs. what you would get in a motorcycle. I've taken advantage of the anti-theft system when taking the scooter out to the beach and city. I like the anti-theft system as well as the need to enter a code after you turn it on before you can operate. The powerful front lights are helpful for a night ride. You can see in the picture how powerful the light is as a reflection on the garage. I'm impressed with the lightweight and how easy it was for me to get it set up and going. I would highly recommend this for someone looking for a scooter.
22.2mm handlebar is actually (at least here in finland) a normal moped handlbar and u can find lots. Just a thought if someone havent found one out. Really nice videos, thank you

Just properly inflate your tires before each ride, don’t hit huge bumps/jumps and you’ll never get a flat

hello, i really want to know if i can put a skating grip tape on my hiboy s2 regular. If yes where can i find them or how do i make one?
