Plastic will continue floating in our oceans as long as we are stuck in the 20th-century linear economic mindset. PHA bioplastic is the world’s solution to landfilling, waste generation, and greenhouse gas emissions. She holds two master's degrees from Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, and KFUPM, and a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. She’s worked for KAUST, KAEC, and a few startups in San Francisco. She was recently awarded the first place prize at Spark entrepreneurship contest for her PHA Bioplastics startup, Plastus.
