I like the colour - especially the outdoors like in the film 'Young and Innocent ". The one film which colour did NO favours was Lean's 'Brief Encounter'.
I think both versions of this movie are good! Hitchcock once said that this version was made by an amateur and the one with Jimmy Stewart and Doris Day was made by a professional.
Gran película! Simple pero muy entretenida! Peter Lorre lo hace muy bien como el antagonista, se roba las escenas cuando él aparece! Los protagonistas no se quedan atrás, la relación de esta familia se nota, sobre todo cuando el Padre rompe en llanto cuando ve a su hija. Y pues la de 1956, tambien me gusta bastante, de hecho las dos versiones me encantan y que tienen mérito propio, que muy pocos directores pueden tener, hacer un buen remake! Unless if he stars with Vicent Price and or with Boris Karloff where he's comic relief or just a drunk. 🍷LOL Well OK he was a good detective in the Moto films. 🔍But he was super creepy in "M" and "Mad Love". Wonder what mischief he'll get into in this one. Let's investigate. 🕵

Another great Hitch movie. Kinda gruesome with enormous body count to rival Arnolds COMMANDO. But intriguing storyline. Three and a half stars all week long and possible 4 stars on Sunday. 1st alternate ending: the kid is an olympic diver and escapes by doing a 2.5 double pike into a glass of water. 2nd: the Spanish olympic archer nails it with a flaming arrow. 3rd: DW is in the crowd and tells a salty sponge joke, the baddie laffs, slips and falls to his death. Well it can happen! 😁 Enjoy!

Just awful in my opinion. The parents were annoying and the kid was worse. Could not careless what happened to them. I hope Clive escapes these awful people. I made it to 45:00. Forty five minutes of my life I will never get back. 👎
Peter Lorre is one of my favorite actors. This Alfred Hitchcock movie is superb.

Norman Woods character is the actor with the blinking eyes in Young and Innocent. And Nova Pilbeam is also in it as an adult.
Finish the movie before flashing stuff on the screeen. You can oftern tell it is finished by the words "The End".

Having watched the black-and-white film, the colouring is awful.
Shooting an unarmed British copper is appalling.
