Hi Natalie, I was wondering if you have any thoughts or resources on recovering from costochondritis. I would like to meet my handstand goals however this is getting in my way and I hear it is a somewhat common hand balancing injury. You’re the best and thank you for all you do!!
Hello and thank you for your question. I have to say that this is not something I encounter often with my students. I think it would be wise to ask a sports injury physiotherapist, they will be able to give you better advice.
except for the balance that Im still working on, and the straddle lack of flexibility, I found this easier than your beginner 20 min handstand set, though ive been doing that one for years lol
Hello Natalie... I wanted to ask a question for the balancing aspect of the handstand When I'm in the handstand should I also protract my scapula while I'm elevating my shoulders? Im asking because I find it easier to hold the handstand with protraction and because I always fall if I let my scapula retract
Hi and thank you for your question. Retracting the scapula makes balancing easier, protracting gives you good technique and will enable you to move towards more advanced moves. The change to protraction is tricky for most of my students. The protraction does not need to be 100% find a good mix. But retraction makes the chest stick out, that's the main problem, making it hard to move on to tuck or straddle. ua-cam.com/video/uWJH-ARMPww/v-deo.html
That will be your shoulder mobility needing some work I think. Tuck and straddle need more shoulder opening than the normal handstand. Make sure you don't sink down into the shoulders but push up as you bring the legs to tuck or straddle.
This is gold ... thank you so much!
Yay, thank you :)

Aren't they? They are my mum's as always. She is the master gardener.
Yes they are 🙏
I love this class but it appears I have no core at all! 😮 can’t tuck or straddle at all even with the wall 😢

@@NatalieReckert thank you. I will keep trying! ❤️
