Sir, clotting time is 4- 10 minutes but still why we ask the patient to keep the gauze for 30 minutes. Can you please tell me the answer, this was my viva question which I couldn't answer.
1. Newly formed clot is fragile. Biting on gauze for 30 min ensure clot stabilisation and organisation so that healing can occur without dry socket formation 2. Bite pressure also reduce swelling

nothing special...routine antibiotics and analgesics with instructions to maintain good oral hygiene and to take diabetic medicines regularly
