This video i show you how easy it is to perform a brake pad replacement on a 2000 Honda civic Please be responsible and conduct all repairs in a safe manner
You prolly dont give a damn but does anybody know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot my password. I love any assistance you can give me!
@Alejandro Wesson Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and im trying it out now. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
This is a perfect video except for one thing condition of your rotors is not just groves, they can be smooth as silk and be too thin. You have to mic them or you just don't know. Nice Video!
Yes, for sure you are correct. It's always good to check thickness with a mic. I've been working on Hondas long enough to know when they're in need of new brakes just by look and feel. Thank you for compliments!
Where did you place the jackstand? The video doesn't show where it actually touches the bottom of the car. I have a 1998 Civic so hopefully it is the same location as your 2000 car. Thanks.
There is a spot underneath the radiator looks like a square box but it lifts a little more of one side than other. The other jacking points are on either side of the car underneath the area of the door hinges. The look like to tabs sticking out more than the rest of the body work
@@DirtydogMech That's helpful to know! Thank you. I can lift with jack under the radiator and place stands on the side. But you lifted it different in the video. You used the side to lift with the jack. But I can't see where you placed the jackstand under the car. (And a follow up to that is, which way is better?)
Just take your time. Be safe. Just very slightly loosen the wheel before jack up the first side if your not using an electrical impact gun. The lifting points you can see a metal edge, that where you jack it up from
It broke inside the caliper bracket? If it broke inside and it's accessible, heat it up with a torch. Use pliers to twist and pull while you heat it up and spray lubricant on it. If nothing works need a whole caliper and bracket
What was useless about it? Instead of just stated it was useless and criticizing why don't you tell me what I should of done to help improve my videos?
I got a 1999 Honda Civic to learn about cars and today will be my first time changing the brakes so thank you for the video 🥲
awesome. There nothing more satisfying than knowing you fixed something
I love how easily it's done no complicated steps like other videos. Thanks

Thank you so much! Definitely subscribing
Simple and easy to understand! Thank you!
10/10 helped me out and got it don’t fast
A large C-Clamp also works great to push the caliper piston in. Be sure to loosen the brake fluid cap.
Thank you very much. This helped me a lot.
Your welcome I'm glad it helped
Thank you, your video helped for whatever reason my bottom bolt was an 11mm? Oh well I got them done thanks again
Definitely helped, thanks! And i never repplaxe rotor unless like you said gouges
Great video, you really made it easy.
Good job. Tricky filming by yourself :)

Hello, is it bad if I didnt put grease on the Little métal part avec the calipers ? Thanks
It isn't bad. But it is recommended to keep consistency in brake feel and performance

@@ldeg9876 oh I was supporting the control arm with the Jack stand. I was doing brakes 1 wheel at a time
oh gosh, i'm about to do this for the first time, knowing my luck i will struggle to get the wheel off, or find the place to jack up the car

Good video, thanks. (get yourself a tripod bud 8) )
Thanks mate ❤
Good video.
Going to do this in maybe next week.

Did your new set of brake pads not come with new clips to use?
No they did not
Very informative👌
thank you sir
i buy different break pad
what is the size of the pad
2000 honda civic sedan 4dr.
Did you find out the brake size ?
Hey my pin broke and I can’t get it out what do I do

Why wouldn't you use a C, clamp?
Didnt have one available
Useless video. You didn’t show anything , could’ve learnt more by reading a forum

Dude is wrong. This video is very helpful. Thanks for posting.
Thank you
