YEAH MAN..!!
I would pay almost anything to see these guys live. The blues is not dead
Darren not seen Matt live - yet! But saw Josh earlier this year and he is phenomenal. Best gig I’ve been too.
@@seandyer4151 nice one Sean. Josh really is fantastic still not seen ether of them live yet. 😢😢
Should go see Derek Trucks if you're worried about blues being dead
@@Dawg93 Bonnamassa.
@@Dawg93 saw Trucks at the Hollywood bowl with John Mayer & BB King. Pretty memorable night..& also seen Tedeshi Trucks multiple times one of my favorites being the show they did at CrossRoads Claptons festival
Matt’s tone is especially beautiful here, and I just can’t get over Josh’s playing.
Can't watch this without picking up your guitar and joining in. Too much fun.
YES!!! Exactly what I was thinking. There's something wrong with my guitar though. It doesnt make those sounds. Lol!!!
@@IJR911 thought there is truth in advertising affer this, bought a CRS ...muah :*
Best blues tone I’ve ever heard!
Matt's tone is masterful.
Neck pick up is the gold.
Two Masters of Guitarplaying.
So much feel and so dinamic. What an inspiration. Hope hear you soon live.
Matt is my favourite… less is more!!
My new favorite amp with my favorite players. This video just MADE MY NIGHT!!! Thank you two rock for picking the right people for an amp demo!
! Another Baynes!
the crosscut saw jams are nothing short of delightful.
Man, I would pay good money to see Josh and Oz Noy on the same stage jamming.
This jam made me smile!
Thanks to Two Rock for finally getting their 'sh*t' together again....and to Josh and Matt for simply outstanding playing!!!
Tone...Tone...Tone...
Tooaaannn
These two rock demos with Matt and Josh are sick...lovin it
High standards of tone and playing skills 👏👏👏
Dueling done right, wow. Slaying the game!
Killer guitar playing 🎉😂
Pure ear candy!! Totally dig the sounds and trading! Thanks!
They both give each other space!
Josh Smith has converted me from a Strat man to a Tele luster. Man what a pleasure to listen to these two.
Most people play teles with strings that are too light gauge. The Tele doesn't start to come alive until you put at least 11 gauge high e. Even better with a 13 gauge E like this guy uses.
No man don't do that to yourself. They both have their qualities for sure but you can make a strat sound like a tele but not the other way around
Damn him, he did the same to me. And the Matt pulled me back while Josh were still pulling in the other direction. So finally I can say, I am not a Tele guy, I am not a Strat guy - I am a Tele-Strat-Guy, and it feels gooood :-) But Eric, you cant make a Strat sound like a Tele, that middle position on a Tele.... :-)
@@shanemichaels8289 that’s (in my humble opinion) completely cured by raising the pickup height and adjusting the pickup poles. There’s no reason to play heavier strings to get a fatter tone. There’s an eq for that. Historically, aside from Stevie Ray in his early days, most amazing/highly entertaining players used 10, 9, and even 8. There’s a Rick Beato video that lays all this out. Heavier strings for fatter tone is a myth. If it inspires you to play more and engage more that’ll also change your tone, due to the right hand being the sources of it all -and heart of course.
That’s my humble opinion! -check out Rick Beatos channel!
OK, this is a honeypot of licks to make my own. Sweet!
i never thought i would see duff mckagan play drum.
These two could make a Cheerio box sound good....I'm sure TwoRock makes great amps but the talent of these two is incredible....
At 5:03... The magic of Josh. I could meet Matt, maybe I'll be lucky enuf to meet Josh
love matt's tone so much
It's stuff like this that made me go out and get a T style guitar.
Got to play the Bloomfield overdrive at work today. HOLY SHIT!!!! Might very well be the best sounding amp I’ve ever played. Hopefully we’ll have it a while longer before it sells and I can jam on it a little more in between repairs lol.
Absolutely amazing.
That rhythm section is TIGHT
Would’ve been nice to see them get credits.
Match made in freaking heaven!
great playing, tone a vibe on point!
Matt has sucha tasty sound on this beauty in sunburst 💪❤
I due pollici in giù sono sicuramente i vicini di casa che li sentono suonare ad alto volume tutto il giorno, nn possono esserci altri motivi!!!!
So how’s this compare to the 50...I want the big dog 100 but I can’t see where I’ll ever use the full 100watts...but boy oh boy is this a sexy amp in looks and sound
Just hand them both the golden guitar already. Is there anything better that this? The thumbs down must have been accidental taps on the phone. How could there be a thumbs down? Not possible.
my two fav guitarists....forgot guy king ....top 3
Guys, do you know which speakers are being used in this video? I loved the smoothness of Matt's tone.
a critic once heard the great bassist ray brown perform and raved about his bass. Ray put it away and said how does it sound now.
Find me someone who can make a solid state mid 90s practice amp sound anything like this.
I fucking dare you.
Awesome!!!!
Speechless.....
There's no medecine like the Blues !
Josh Smith Great Sound .-
Incredible!
Tks!
Killer-Tone - I wish I could get my hands on this amp here in germany... I guess it has killer-pricing, too.
4 or 5 grand us
@@steveburchfield5576 even more here in Canada oh well, still happy with my magnatone amp.
The rhythm section is tight as balls 😂😂😂
Yeah👍 Thats what it’is all about.
Two Masters of Kung Fu and Two-Rock ...
Superb
Anyone know if Matt Schofield is still running Eminence Ragin Cajun speakers in his 4x10 ? Cheers,
Is Josh plays the 50w or the 100w head here?
Can't we see the settings PLEASE???
Sweet
FKN AWESOME 👍🎸🎸🔥🦅
Damn Josh take a microfiber towel to that axe; or something...lol
Yesss💪🏻
Wish Josh and Matt had had reviewed the new two rock SSS instead of Jerry L. I don't understand jerry L's playing style, tone choices or progressions. On top of great playing style and tone, however, Josh and Matt have great progressions which my ear understands and likes. Their music is always going somewhere even as they toss back and forth -- its better than getting Robbin Ford in Stereo.
Who's Jerry L..?
Does anyone know if Matt uses his on the 100watt or 50watt setting?
It would be nice to mention the names of the rythm section as well....
I'm pretty sure the drummer name is Kevin Hayes... he used to play with Robert Cray
@@BigTimeBluesFan989 Yeah, that's me, with my good friend Dewayne Pate on bass-Dewayne played with Robben Ford for a while, great S.F. Bay Area player!
magic...
What did I just experience?
Wow!
Deeeevon, get the tables
Dispite this great amp and great blues, the mix itself sounds THIN compared to the Paul Butterfield Detroit blues Fender amp era sounds. Just me?
Oh mama!!!!
Playing doesn’t suck either right!?
Do anyone know jam track like that?
its called rumba blues, you can find tracks online.
@@jimmyw2802 thanks
Sound guy didnt turn Schofeild's mic up enough.
Should be fired the arse. Fucks up the whole recording
Schwing!!!
Interviewer: "How does it feel to be the world's greatest guitarist?"
Hendrix: "I don't know, ask them"
talk about melodic playing
2:55
Two Rock Smoo Rock...$5k .....all of my guitar hero's made it happen for 50 odd years using several hundred dollar fenders etc etc ....jst sayin a 5k amp is absolutely ridiculous.....but have it !
Don't need hard panning, very frustrating. 35/35 each way.
Like both these guys but plug into a Fender and call it good.
I’m not a huge fan most of the time coming from Josh’s Tele in most of his videos and would love to hear him change it up to a semi hollow or something. That Tele doesn’t sound good man. I’m reluctant to say it. Matt’s strat is sounding lovely.
I can barely hear matt's guitar
Not digging Josh’s playing. It’s amazing, no doubt. But there’s just too much going on for my taste. Too busy.
5:00 what the fuck
Music is fantastic but the cameraman sucks. Get a pro boys.
Kinda over it after a few minutes
