- For the past ten weeks, our travels have been limited to a few short trips around the U.S. Why… isn’t really important, but we’re about to kick off a crazy few final months of 2023 and it starts with a marathon journey that starts in Denver, Colorado and takes us back to the capital of the Philippines - but over the course of two full days of airports, lounges, hotels, and taxis. This marks the beginning of a new hybrid home base setup that will take us back and forth almost every month between Denver and Manila so that we can branch out to explore even more countries around the world in the coming year.

We’re the Lockwoods. It took 3 weeks for my passport renewal. I paid $130 for the big book. It’s the same price and size as regular passport. However it’s very thick with a million pages (joke) 😂 Enjoy your BER months in the 🇵🇭

Glad you're back in the Philippines. There are so many places to explore and not only that we have neighboring countries you can go to like Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, Brunei, Indonesia and even Australia can take you only 8 hours flight.

I am A Filipino who lived in Los Angeles for 31 years and now semi retired staying at our house in Quezon City.
Makes sense for your family to make BGC as your second home base. Flying out of Manila to other Asian countries is so much cheaper.
I have a friend from Los Angeles who is visiting me and after Oslob we are flying out of Cebu to Singapore for only $60 one way! Can't beat that!

Wow, what a pleasant surprise it was to hear that you stopped over Guam! …. makes complete sense haha. I’m a born & raised Guamanian. So take my word! you all should definitely come up back to explore this small, but beautiful island. Tons to see and experience, could be done within a week or less!
As for passport renewal here, be sure to head to the DMV and queue up early. The earlier, the better.

United Airlines will soon be launching a nonstop SFO-MNL flight daily starting at the end of October FYI! From one United hub to another (DEN - SFO) would make it more convenient to get to MNL.

Love seeing the travels continue! Just got back from my Southeast Asia (Taiwan, Philippines, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia) and Japan trip. First time driving on the left side in Japan😅- I recommend it for the experience and the BEAUTIFUL VIEWS (compared to using the train exclusively). If you ever come back there, I think you'll love Hiroshima.
