From the moment the Jedi fell, and Anakin betrayed her, Ashoka has been surviving. Adult Ahsoka had lost her friends, companions, and was just, alone. With no attachments, just as a Jedi should be. But Ahsoka is no Jedi. Now Anakin reminded her to not just survive, but to live. That's my take on it.
She's a Jedi now. She completed the training. No more wandering around in shadows. It's time to step into the light. Ahsoka the White
He reminded her to live proactively and not reactively.

@@rp1ten Technically it was the last lesson Anakin learned, by Luke, to not just survive after losing everything, but to live. It was truly the last thing Anakin, not Vader, learned. And now he just passed it on to her, and she has everything from him, just like he said. :)

I'm not sure if anyone caught this, but when Anakin storms through that portal at Rosario Ahsoka and says "You lack conviction", I could swear they blended Hayen's and Vader's mechanical voice together.
They did in fact blend the voice modulator in with his voice

Episode 5 was Epic to say the least, From Anakin Skywalker, from the Clonewars flashbacks,I was emotionally destroyed,I have yet to make it back

That was solid, right? I can certainly understand why they wanted that episode in theaters. Did you get to see it in theater? I can't imagine what that must have been like seeing clone wars in live action on the big screen.
This Was My Favorite Episode of Ahsoka,It Returned Me Back to My Sith State Actually. The Clonewars scene brought me Goosebumps as Well. I had tears while watching this segment.

Haven't seen anyone have such visceral reactions to the appearances of Vader's form.
Awww thank you. For me, I think it's that when I was five years old I was so terrified of Darth Vader from a New Hope so when stuff like that happens my brain recalls it immediately.
Anakin brings balance to the force Ahsoka represents the Force daughter because Morai is her guide and and had the daughter’s life force transferred into her after she had her soul corrupted by the son.
I had to wake up at 02:00 (UK time) this morning just to watch this episode.
Ahsoka ultimately just got herself stuck because she didn’t know how to move forward, just in the same way that she struggled with the realisation Anakin turned to Vader in rebels.
Ultimately, I think Ahsoka’s spirit was in the world between rounds, but her body was in the water, the whole time, there’s just so much we don’t know between the cosmic force and the living force and just the world between worlds in general.
Hayden does a really good Matt Lanter, in terms of inflections and tone.
The Mandalorians seen in this episode are former death watch and we are part of the shadow collective.
What I will say about travelling with space whales is sometimes it’s about the journey, not the destination 😜
2am!!! I love that. Rock star stuff. Totally agree that she was in the water while her spirit went through all that. And OMG yes, Hayden was soooo great. I'm still absolutely beside myself after that episode. Can't imagine what will go down next week.
@@remoterebels2 well from this point forward, I’ve got my alarm set for 02:00 in the morning, I think right now we’re at a really good point in the show.
I never understood the hate that this show has been getting, I completely understand that this is very niche because you really have to watch TCW and rebels to appreciate the intricacies, even though I will say Dave has written the show in a way (this episode is an example of this) that it does give you an idea of what’s going on without doing a complete deep dive, but more surface level.
I like how Hayden managed to bring in some Matt Lanter (Anakin, TCW voice actor) just in terms of mannerisms/inflections and that kind of thing while still being very hard and Anakin all at the same time.
Definitely looking forward to the next episode, this is my favourite Star Wars, live-action TV show period, nobody is going to get me to change my mind.
I mean since I was 31 (I’m 37 now) Ahsoka has been my second favourite character in all of the Star Wars with Anakin/Vader (the alter ego more so) being my favourite.

@@RemoteRebels haha, enjoy the moment. Also, during the last battle, look very carefully at Ahsoka's eye when she gets closest to Anakin. The color of her eyes was NOT from a reflection. I rewatched it on my big screen (75"). Her eyes changed.
Thank you for telling us about this. If you think Edith is a big Star Wars fan, she is also a HUGE Buffy fan and anything to do with SMG and FPJ. And Kanan is one of her top favorite SW characters. That's why she gets all giddy when Jacen comes on screen. So we went back and watched and watched and then finally went to New Rockstars on YT where Eric showed the pic and we were both like OMG !! there it is. And Edith said the same thing about Ahsoka's eyes changing and that it wasn't a reflection. So thank you for saying that.

5:33 Jacen has psychometry. It's the same ability Ahsoka has in this episode, and episode 2, he can sense the events of the past in this place like an echo.
This is what I think and I also think Dave's done it to make us think he's hearing WBW when it's actually Baylan and Ahsoka's fight he can hear!...
then again, I also believe Ahsoka is working through internalised trauma in a near death state and WBW & Anakin is all in her head.
Either way, both options are there for people who wanna believe their preferred choice. Love Dave leaving it ambiguous like that for us 😂.
That's definitely not what is going on. It's implied he hears the saber battle in the World Between Worlds, not an echo of the fight that happened with Baylan Skoll.

why, if he's teaching her a lesson, is he appearing to her as Vader? is he the first Force Ghost ever to attempt to re-traumatise someone?
imagine Qui-Gon appearing to Obi in his just-been-stabbed-about-to-die pose, as a Force Ghost? no, neither can I.
I see what people are seeing but until told for sure that it's him AND WBW, I don't buy it for one second.
and as I said, I also think the ambiguity is deliberately done.

Anakin's "You got old." mirrors Rex's dialogue with Ahsoka in Rebels season 2.
Ahsoka's spin kick to Anakin's head was the same move she hit Maul with in Clone Wars season 7.

I have been subscribed to your channel for a while but never have I seen such intensity in your reactions like this chapter of this wonderful book that Dave has written. That was the siege of Mandalore arc from season 7 and Anakin said he didn't remember that battle because he and Ahsoka has parted ways. Edith be ready because there may be Gonks in the other galaxy.

Is Ahsoka now the embodiment of The Daughter? Shout out to the actress who played young Ahsoka. The Anakin we see here could be The Father..he now has a total balance between his light and dark selves.
A lot of people are saying she is the embodiment of the daughter. I'm not sure if Dave is taking it that far yet, but I never get any of this right so don't listen to me. This is THE episode. Exceeds The Rescue from Mando IMO and as great as the Andor Series episodes and Andor Finale.
This episode is the best SW content post Original trilogy ever made because it honours CW, Rebels and the Originals.
Yeah, I would say it even honored the prequels too!! We got a lil ROS in there. I LOVE that movie. You will hear me say "THIS IS STAR WARS" and when I say that it means I've returned to 1978 and you've made me remember the excitement and hope and love I felt the first time I ever saw Star Wars. To me, that's magic.

When anakin said "ive heard that before" refering to ahsoka saying she womt fight him. Anakin is refering to the time luke said that. And i dont think many people caught that easter egg.

Exactly. And it has huge implications. It means that the Anakin we see in this episode is effectively Anakin’s Force Ghost who has Anakin’s entire lifetime of experience, including killing Palpatine at the end of ROTJ. We have never seen this version of Anakin before. Filoni’s script was stellar, and Hayden knocked it out of the park.

Little bit of nice info for you: if the face behind the younger Ahsoka gives you any 'have we seen her before?' vibes the answer is yes. She plays the young Gamorra from the Marvel films in the sequence where Thanos finds her and takes her with him as a child.

yeah i feel like they are trying to confuse us on purpose with all this. force ghost makes sense to me here because i think about how ben appeared to Luke to help him or Yoda. Since it's in this force netherworld or WBW or whatever anyone is calling it seems to create some crazy confusion. hopefully they explain some of it to us. I am so ready for Tuesday.
Hera shouldn't have been able to hear the sabers, I would have liked it if her son grabbed her hand and then she could hear it, one of his abilities while making contact can allow a non force user to slightly interact with it.

9:50 Btw, did you know that according to “Bespin Bulletin” there was a fight scene shot between Anakin (as Hayden Christensen) and Ahsoka (as Savannah Steyn instead of Ariana Greenblatt, at least for that scene) on Mustafar in an alternate-reality-like setting during the "world-between-world like" moments, which they said was cut from the actual episode? In that scene Anakin would have showed her that she couldn't have changed his fate to become Vader even if she were there at that point, which would have taken away a lot of her guilt of her not having been there and not being able to save him, resulting in the now more light-hearted Ahsoka. They cut that scene, maybe cause it wasn't really a memory and/or cause Anakin's message/lesson was a different one? Though I still hope they would release it as a separate video on YT or sth like that, cause I would really like to see what that scene (and Savannah Steyn as Ahsoka) would have looked like and it also explains a bit better imo why Ahsoka is more enlightened and happy at the end.

I’m thinking just like Gandalf, Ahsoka was transformed. She’s wearing a dove grey so she’s mostly a “white Jedi” with allowances for some attachments knowing they can leave “dark” energy…therefore a somewhat Grey Jedi…..
I also think she could’ve chosen to kill force Anakin and become a new Sith or fight until exhausted and leave a mortal life. I like her choice to live. I now have a new idea for my semi colon tattoo….

Ah yeah, well I do love Mon Mothma though. She is so awesome. I know what a great leader Hera is, and I know that the mention of Leia helping them is leading to her break from the new republic to form the resistance and it's silly to me that it can't be one in the same. or maybe I am getting sinical since i turned 50 LOL
