solid video! being able to have 3 separate tunes is really nice touch, hopefully ill be in the e bike scene next summer, working on getting a surron build going.
You won’t regret it. Been in the bike scene for a bit. Hated on e bikes for years. No shifting, “terrible range” etc. Little did I know none of those things actually matter for the way I ride it. Totally obsessed with e bikes at this point.
Pumping that much power into an air cooled motor will burn it up prematurely. Someday, I hope to see manufacturers introduce a water cooled controller, motor and radiator upgrade.
x9000 has a water cooled heatsync option! would love to try that at some point. at 15kw the motor heat isn’t too crazy, and you can adjust the temp cutoff to lower power if it ever gets too hot, so that helps with longevity
I wish someone would do an extreme regen test with a mostly discharged battery on a very long downhill course. Could be interesting to see what the battery can gain.
Wow, didnt realize you got to 150K subscribers! Subbed a year and a half ago from your Easiest mods video. You had like 10K or less at that point. Huge growth, keep it up.
If you have a neutral plug your neutral in first way, if you do end up making anything backfire, it'll short circuit the controller and notch your body.
Hi Logan! Happy that you're happy with the controller. As you're no doubt aware, it can actually push much more - like other controllers in that range. I'm building a DIY bike now, and planning for 30kW peak from a 72V battery. Cheers! :)

interesting - it’s been so much better for throttle tuning than my BAC4000 is, but would be amazing if you could see the throttle curve in the app itself. i’m at 10kw like 380phase i think, might lower it even further for dirt & jumps!

The guys over on the fb group said there will be no serious gain without a new battery and motor. Guessing x9000 isn’t doing much right now other than torque??
I would consider 15kw / 600phase a serious gain over stock - especially compared to what surrons & talarias can handle. that said, the top speed might not skyrocket in the same way - going to test that soon!
nope! At 20kw the battery starts to heat up a tiny bit, but at 15kw they say it’s rock solid temps and everything. stock bike is 12kw, so we’re not pushing anything toooo hard :)

door to door is exhausting, i would think about hustles where you can provide something that a lot of people want at a location. like selling otter pops at the skatepark on the hot days or something! Saving up $3000 at your age is tough but you can 100% do it.
Yo! I'm 6'1" and like 275lbs... I know I'm like a "huge rider" compared to most but I've been eyeing the E-Ride... Should I get it or lose more weight first? lol Or is there a simple suspension upgrade i could do to make the bike handle the extra weight? I appreciate any advice.
The max weight is 300. At your weight, you’re going to feel the frame flex and you’re not going to be about to get the bike near 60 My cousin is about the same weight he’s at 272 and he slows the bike down significantly he maxes out about 48-52, battery level matters. I’ve never heard of a Surron blowing up
72v bac4000 surrons have been known to catch on fire if they delete the breaker and/or don’t have a pre charge resistor installed
That bike better go 70mph or we gonna have a problem
The only reason I watched this was to find out the new top speed. Did he even mention that? C'mon buddy

Great video! I ordered my X9000 a couple of weeks ago. This install will help me out a lot. Can you link your buddies Sur Ron install video?
it’s actually just the one on revrides youtube channel! I also used EBMX’s video on installing it on the surron - that was super helpful

The hall sensor is missing which is why it's doing that. It's probably in sensorless mod just hop it back on Sensored
