I love it when he says `they didint attemt to repair it so it increases our chances of fixing it` such a pro
I know im asking the wrong place but does anyone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account..?
I somehow forgot my login password. I appreciate any help you can offer me
@Wilson Lucca Instablaster ;)
@Luis Dominik I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Luis Dominik it did the trick and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy!

@Wilson Lucca Glad I could help :)
Mr. Eli and Eli's subscribers: Would you all be interested in seeing Eli troubleshoot and repair a 1080 ti?
Yes
BTW I'm sorry for you card tho :/
I have one too, lol. I started up a thread here. www.eevblog.com/forum/repair/pny-1080ti-repair/
At least your making more videos now so I hope your doing well.
Thank you for posting this, trying to re-ignite my passion for electronic repair and troubleshooting.
Great shakedown of this new card. Many thanks!
That's insane. I would NEVER guess that you can find a short like that. That's SOO COOL
Short == heat, so alcohol evaporates real quick
@@hussssshie i get it, i just wouldnt have ever thought to do this. its an awesome trick

I think you'll make it big if you keep at it man! Please make more videos as this is a hobby I would like to get into. Also you already have a catch phrase, "Beautiful!"
Nice video thanks! I did change my stock cooler, to an aio cooler. And i did found very bad soldered power connectors from the upper side. I can see the holes on many pins.
I have a few broken GPU's managed to fix a couple I am a novice at fixing GPU watching your videos to try and find more information. I would love to see more of your content thanks Eli Tech.
Good for you but this is a very risky work gotta be very careful & have the basics knowledge
@@KenneXS That is obvious
Fantastic job Elia, another work for super Eli !!!
Bye bye

Great Job Eli!!
Nice trick with the alcohol, instead of using expensive thermal camera!
Thanks for sharing.
termal camera it's not expensive 100£ max and you save a lot of husele
@@claustile5122 yeah but if you live in Russia then it's expensive
Dude I wanna here moer of ' ANND we have a picture..' . Come back soon!
good attempt
Can you raytrace the funeral of this card so you that you can press F to pay respects for the attempt?
Maaan you are genius!
Hi Eli Tech,
I am very impressed by your knowledge of GPUs and also by the way you repair them. So after watching a couple videos here, I'm wondering, what would it take me to learn something like this and what course/Program you would recommend me to start. I do understand some russian because my mom is from there but I would prefer it in English.
Best greets, Arseniy
Hi mate . I have the same card. Worked fine next day dead. Nothing no fans lights before worked flawlessly. Thanks in advance
did you fix it ?
Hello! Are you selling any type of guide
to diagnose gpu problems?
I'm looking all your videos to try if i can learn something for you and try to repair my gpu.
Thanks so much for do videos showing us the troubleshooting process.
Love u!
I've got an RX570 today with a voltage line short. Should be fun ! Where to start !
Ich bin immer wieder von deiner Arbeit begeistert!
Are there any risks with going at the gpu with a voltmeter? What limitations should be kept?
WOW! Nice Video! I love it.
Just one question: How many degrees you soldering the DrMos ? I want be very careful
I would love to have an LGA socket for these gpus if this was even able to be made that would be awesome so you can swap them in between different models power doesn't make sense but it sounds like CPUs which is more fun
Whoever shorted the card. is a monster
How do you like your KORAD KA3005D power supply, would you recommend it? I'm looking to buy one myself
Where do you get your replacment resistors and other parts? Are they available from your everyday electronics store or are they harder to come by?
Very helpful video. But how do you know witch phase powers CPU / RAM / PCIE and others. As for me phases for CPU and memory look identical, the same is true for other smaller phases - how do you know witch one is PCIE 12v, 5v, 3.3v / 1.8v without schematics?
I have a problem: I connect video card with pci-e 6 pins pc power supply without connect in pci express motherboard. Then I started pc power supply without motherboard and a mosfet from video card burn. What happened......any idea?
Long video but worth to watch
I have to Asus video cards that only work in safe mode, I dude flash correct bios and in GPU Z the cards show up but no info about shaders. Any ideas of where to start? When starting windows I get ram artifacts.
Hello Eli! Could you possibly do some video tutorials on volt modding graphics cards for maximum voltage? You seem to know what your doing. I would really really appreciate it if you did.

eli i have a broken titan x, i have no clue what the problem is, what would you charge to fix it? or at least look at it?
Need your support, got s 2070 EVGA black has memory artifacts (micron memory) just replacing the memory is good enough or do I need to do more?
hello , i have short circuit around vram smd capacitors in my sapphire nitro+ rx470, what to do about that ?
Greetings Eli! Love your videos.
I know you've probably been asked before, but...
Is that a PCI post card? Or pci express? just curious because it looks like you're using a motherboard that still has PCI?
Thanks - i got a issue tho - So i changed the fan on my RTX 2080 whit a org fan from Asus, now pc wont find the card, i tried whit another card as main could not see it.. anyone got a potential cause or idea on what to try /do,
Hey Eli, this channel is awesome. I got a 2 questions regarding 2 different broken GPU sympthoms and what is mostly their cause in your experience:
1. Code 43 (lost contact on GPU chip balls?! - reflow?)
2. a card that has extreme stuttering ingame and goes down to 1-5 fps, even though its working ingame.
Hey dude, did you found out what is mostly cause for Code 43?
@@vjeko3471 Depends on the exact card. Error 43 means "something is wrong with the hardware", it can be the vbios, vram, GPU core, phisical damage and anything else.
why not check the resistance on the gate on eat mosfet?
10v there is really not a good sign on a 5v line but you need a brand new working card so you can check what it does most of those were redisign for the 2080
Great video and good explanations. It's been almost three year from your upload, but maybe I can help. Atm have the "same card" tu102-300-k6-a1 laying on my table with a similar issue. The card was gifted from a broken pc which was falling off a shelf. The circuit board looks quite good, no damage to see or any loosing parts from the circuit. Plugin-in the card on a test bench reveals error with the card. I don't have the equipment and know-how like you to examen all the parts for a failure. If you still do stuff like that, and you're interested, pm me and I can ship you the card, for hopefully a second life. Personally, I'm not interested in the card, but I see like this. With some skill the card can still have purpose before it lands in the landfill, the parts soldered on the circuit still have a value in my eye.
Hii
my friend i have rx 580 with short circuits + 3 fuses damage ,, because some water spilled on the card ,, and i want to fix it ,, how to contact you ?
Hey expert can you guide me a bit. My old quadro 4000 isn't being detected in post. It all happened when I took the card out for cleaning and I put the card back. I turned on the computer and windows was loaded. When i launched the msi burner to change fan speed. My pc froze and I had to force turn off. After that it is not being detected in post. Can u tell me which component is more likely to be damaged?
i have a 2080ti with broken 6 pins after falling , any tips ? (i solder everything beside one micro trace which goes directly to the GPU processor :/ )
Can you do a guide for diagnose and repair a graphics card please?
I have an old hd7870 and i think one of the upper phase (memory or other ) are bad but not sure wat composent please help me ;)
PS: i'm french Sorry
hello @Eli Tech you can help me?
I have problems recognizing a 750 gtx due to humidity, remove moisture but only recognize 1gb of ram video, what can I do?
I'm sorry, I'm a newbie
Wish I would have found this channel earlier I would have sent you my gtx 690 to keep. I killed it after shorting it with an aftermarket cooler lol. I honestly don’t even know what touched I had that clear thermal tape stuff covering a lot. I was just running a game heard a weird noise and black screen lol
You still have it?
How did you removed the mosfets ?? i ve got a 500 C hot air station and i cant take even a diode or my flux is bad ...
I always amazed in this channel. I is a very expensive card. How many 5V parts are on there? It could be worth it take them all out, if they can be traced...
considered to e-power dat card ?
For sale as "Broken/for parts" on Ebay in a close future.
I have a 2080TI EVGA, the fans spin and it powers on, it displays video but gives an error in the device manager. Any way to get this fixed? I do not even know where to send it?
how you can check 5 v rail that is missing?
Where can I learn how to fix graphics card like you do? I mean, I don't really understand how you diagnose them: you have very few videos doing this and I don't see you testing the same things on these cards.
If I were to fix a graphics card now, I'd just check for the external 12V and the PCI-E 3.3V. After this, the coils and the MOSFETs would be next. If I'd see 0V on one of them, I'd *literally* follow the traces and see where they go and test like that.
Any help anyone?
If you just want to watch similiar video like this find a channel named "it system" he does lot of graphic card repair the only downside is the video is in korean language 😅
Hello Eli, thanks for the great videos. Have you ever encountered a card that always fails after a warm boot? Then after three or four days of "resting" or maybe discharging (?) it will work again. I have two such cards, both Zotac 1050Ti. Do you think it's easy to fix it? From your experience, what would be the most likely problem? Thank you
Could it be an issue with your VBIOS? maybe the chip is faulty. Did you try flashing a new bios?
Hey Eli! I bought a 2080Ti (broken) on ebay a while back. In GPU-Z, it shows 0mb Memory, Unknown Bandwidth (for memory), and Unknown Bus Width. I'm assuming either the Memory Controller in the GPU is dead, or the power rail for memory is too low. I only work on this card in my spare time at work, and I do not have a way to power it outside of my own computer at home (which I have no problem doing). Resistance on the rail is lower than I expected (around 34Ohms with RAM chips on the board), and I haven't tested the power on the rail yet because I do not have a way to power the card, and the GPU gets WAYYY too hot without a heatsink and fan on it. I have learned that the Turing series GPUs do not have the protection that stops them from displaying without VRAM. I removed all the RAM chips to see if the Resistance would change, and it's gone up to around 42Ohms. I cannot find any information online for repair on this card. I have reballed GPU and RAM, and got them both back on the board, with the same issue. I even replaced about 6 of the chips because I heard a while ago that there were some known memory issues with this card. I removed the RAM again after testing, because i got the same results.
When installing the driver for this card, I get a heavily distorted screen, followed by a driver crash and error code 43 in windows (on the driver in device manager). This was the initial issue.
Not that I know what I'm talking about - lol - but I saw on EEVblog that the closer you get to the short the lower the resistance. Maybe probe along the 5V line. Maybe that broken connector is shorting. Are those cheap thermal cams on the phone capable of seeing a 300ma short.
It woud be depending on the voltage at that current, but say half a watt then yes they should be able to but it might be hard to pinpoint it since these cameras have so ridiculous low resolution. And btw you can't really probe the lines without scraping of the solder resist which would be a slight hell and also very risky and the line could also go inside the card into different layers so it could be impossible to follow.
Hi Eli, would you be interested in reparing my 2080ti strix? It got display but when I install the nvdia software the screen goes out, like black out.
Which of these Mosfets can I use

Hello...
I'm from Portugal and I'm trying to diagnose an Nvidia GTX770 that has some problem related to power supply. If you connect only the 8-pin power cable, the gpu will warm up and display the image "please power down and connect the pcie power cables for this graphics card" because need the second 6 pin connector, but when I connect the second 6 pin cable not show any sign of image on display and not warming gpu ... Do you have any tips for giving me what I should do to diagnose the problem?
Thank you
DJ30 is the date code. FDMF3170 (the second and third lines printed on the chip) is the DrMOS part number from ON Semiconductor.
Hi Eli can you please explain how did u know which chip is broken? thx :D your video is very fun to watch and educational
Do you have schematics for these cards? How can you find out how they work?
example power line parts structure are same like all graphic cards..
my guess your client left computer on when installing card???
I have a 2080ti that needs a memory module reballed. It fell off when I went to put a waterblock on. I hit it with a heatgun and thought it was good when I put it back in place. I ended up getting bad artifacting when I used it. I took it apart again and found that the Samsung module fell off again. Could you refer me to someone who can perform a reball service?
Hello Eli, do you do motherboard socket replacement jobs.I have Asus X58DE motherboard with bent pins that I want to replace the socket.

New card but why no warranty?
hey elitech community, i have a problem with my gtx 1080, maybe someone has an idea what i could try : since i installed a riser cable the 1080 does not give any output with or without the riser on any motherboard with neither hdmi nor display port. the fans spin and the leds light up tho - no bios no anything - when i start with the cpu output the card is visible in bios and i can get into windows but as soon as i try to install nvidia drivers or the windows automatic drivers for the card i get a bluescreen with - nvlddmkm.sys page_fault_in_nonpaged_area
i really dont know what to make of it and am stuck, i would appreciate any idea or help
How and where did you learn that knowledge?
or did you achieve the most part by yourself?
I'm pretty sure someone was kind enough to taught him the basics & few tricks & he contniued by himself like riding a Bike
I have a vega 64 with no display. Would you allow me to ship to you to fix?
I got a problem with a 2060 who won't boot. I "inscpected" it and found out that a silicon chip was fried. Next Issue is that I can't find any reference to that chip online (SM 3323N CU73N). The only info I have about it is that it would have surved for the voltage income... There are 4 of those chips and one of them is showing 12.32V. And the 3 others 0V. How could I fix this, where could i find one of those chips ?
Where did you buy your diagnostic board?
Hey i want to have my 1080 ti repair how can we do that?
