Very interested in the Waist vs Seat harness. As long as you don’t show the specs of each so thoroughly as you did with the specs in this video 😂 (very funny). Thanks!
When I saw the cover picture with the headline 68 km/h average speed, which was my question, it made me smile and happy that I inspired you ;) I watched a complete video and no answer to my (headline) question. Hmm... not funny. Now, you own me free Neil Pryde Combat Pro 4.2 2023 in orange color to make it even "Steven" Nico Prien ;) ;) ;)
@@BoardLifeNico where? on 5:15 you said that your maximum speed was 31.5kn = 58.3 km/h maxium speed can't be below average speed ;) In the previous DefiWind video you said the course length was 40km and your time was 35min, that means your average speed is 68km/h. So, either your time is wrong or course length is wrong. I assume that the course length was about 26km. average speed [km/h] = course length [km] / time [h] = 40 km / 35 min = 40 km / 0,583h = 68.57km/h = 37knots
@@BoardLifeNico This was my question eather, because you mentionend a total race time of almost 35 min. and a distance of 40 km, this means an average speed of 68 km/h, but your top speed was 58.3 km/h. What is my mistake here?
@@ThierryCiot I thought I mentioned it here. Either Lars cut it out, or I forgot to mention while answering: The point is that the race was not really 40km. Everyone always spoke about 40km, so I just picked it up from there. Actual distance was more like 36km. My average speed was around 30 knots most of the time.
Seat harness user here since i began windsurfing 5 years ago. I am really thin and the waist harness would always go up. I am foiling in gusty west-wind here in munich, often being overpowered. Using a 550 front wing i have no issues with control. If your foil feels uncontrollable, do a little session with the Rennas from lake garda, torbole. They are as good as it gets.
Thanks for the Defiwind videos. Are you limited to a set number of foil wings, stab wings, foil masts and fuselages for the PWA events. That is, like sails and boards? The 420 speed foil. Part of your PWA slalom kit or just limited to long distance event use only? Also, least amount of wind needed to use the 420?

Gotta LUV the pausing the video for a Fritz Cola .... Carry on with the great content.

I am also interested in finding out, the average speed for the full race and if possible to get the time of Nicolas Goyard.

Thank you for the answer of my question in this personal way.
