I’ve tried it but I miss cooked food too much and want to enjoy my life.. I eat fruit and mostly raw through the day and sometimes full days if raw but I’ve decided to not go fully raw…

I’ve been following your videos, I have a question on the 50/50 plate…I did half Ore-ida hash browns half spinach salad with honey mustard ( maple syrup/mustard)..

No idea what I'm doing wrong but i tried these twice and they're never done. Followed the exact recipe per video above, including every step instructed. They end up Goey inside & kinda ew. Used the flipping waffle iron. I always love your recipes but don't understand this one I guess. Kiki, please help

These look great! Thank you for sharing. I learned the secret not to have to spray the iron - don't lift the lid until the steam stops (works for hash browns too)

2 cups oats
2 bananas
1/2 cup pumpkin
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp pumpkin spice
1 & 1/2 cup water
Blend and pour into waffle iron until browned and crispy on the outside. Top with banana slices and maple syrup

just made this recipe. eh. no. hard pass. they smell better than they taste. i only taste banana. zero pumpkin flavor. even got a second opinion from my daughter. also texture is weird and chewy. also why no baking soda/powder? you really learn what eggs and butter do scientifically in recipes when you bake vegan. just combining water and oats/flour comes out rubbery. i do like some of the other recipes tho.
Why does everyone, well not everyone use rolled oats as a flour. Oats are not gluten free and contain many anti- nutrients. Can't have oats due to having Hashimotos.
These turned out fantastic! Next time i will make with coconut whip!

I tried these over the weekend but used frozen bananas which I thawed a bit in the microwave and thawed pumpkin. It didn't work very well. Going to try again with fresh.

Hi Kiki! Overweight omnivore here, trying to eat more vegetables. I just received your cookbook from Amazon. It looks great. Love the the info at the beginning, and the photos are enticing. I'm looking forward to the sweet potato tacos and chickpea salad sammy. I may have to sub out some ingredients because my family is not vegan, and the calorie count is a little too low for my weight, but I think I can work with most of the recipes. Do you think for your second book, you could include more savory breakfast recipes? We are pre-diabetic here and don't eat much fruit. Congratulations on a beautiful first cookbook.
@christinetirpak584 - instead of asking a plant-based recipe artist to change her next cookbook for you, why not follow her cookbook and change your weight and life so you're not pre-diabetic. Strange comment you made

Banana butter ??? It prob be ok for the kids to have a real butter square or even vegan butter ? I dont think they are on a weight loss journey?
butter, even vegan butter, is unnecessary and excessive oil. it’s wonderful to teach your children to be happier with the wholesome and nutritious option, rather than to crave the pure oil and fat. that is not to say kids/someone should totally avoid vegan butter (everyone should avoid animal products), but it should not become such a common part of our diets that we become reliant on or addicted to.
It has nothing to do with weight. Dairy is toxic.
@@Cindyscrossstitch as an OBGYN, i am so sad when i see people giving their children dairy and i’m horrified to see what dairy has done to my patients. leave the cows alone. you do not need another animal’s breastmilk!!!
