Federer, I follow your career from the beginning. I was a Bjorn Borg fan, then an Edberg Fan, then an Agassi fan, and after that, it was you till you finished. I enjoyed every minute. You are a gentleman on and of court. You have a wonderful family, and if course your mom a South African like me. I will surely miss you!
Thank you Mr. Roger Federer for sharing your amazing professional tennis career with the world, especially the plethora of Grand Slam finals where you simply shined. We will always remember you as a fierce competitor, a professional tennis champion, a diplomat for the sport, and a gentleman with an intriguing sense of humor both on and off the court. Your legacy will endure the test of time, and your passion for the game of tennis along with your smile, will reside in our hearts forever. We are so grateful to have witnessed you play the game you love, and we wish you good health, peace and happiness throughout the next chapters of your life.
Part of his greatness is his kindness .Not mentioned till his retirement has been he brought gifts to all the referees and ball boys at the tournament’s end.
The hand-eye coordination of both Federer and the ballkids is pretty danged amazing. I'm still boggle-eyed over that "behind the back hit to the ballkid in the middle of the court", and wasn't really looking. He just knew where the ballkid was. Dang.
In many ways, there are really only 2 kinds of people. The kind of person who recognizes and is aware of the people around them and makes efforts to be considerate of them, whether they know them personally or not. And those who are oblivious. This man is obviously in the first group and is a most worthy role model for young people all over the world.
The incidents at 1:09 and 1:53 are not dissimilar to one that resulted in the disqualification of a player at the 2023 French Open. How ridiculous! The ballkids should have been paying attention. Roger really is a class act.
So fantastic when celebrities in any genre take the time for children. Not all of them do. Some are quite rude and couldn’t be bothered. All celebrities from sports to Hollywood to broadway must realize they only have a job because there are fans. Without fans there would be no job.
Have you ever noticed how charming he is ONLY when he's in control of the match when he's under pressure he cheats "it only bounced once" and acts like a 5 year old and cries like one too.
I remember bumping into Roger at a hotel in London. Had a conversation with him. You won’t meet a more beautiful person inside and out. Made time for me and got a great picture with him. ❤
Ballkids are the real stars as without them play would not be possible, I hope another piece of tech wont replace them like has happened to line judges & the court looks less human now sadly. People make sport happen.
Nice that modern tennis has some great champions who compete hard but still display class toward their opponents, umpires, ballboys and others.
In the end a good sportsman respects his spectators. The best sportsman loves them and their kids...Federer.
Unlike Djokovic
They make millions they happy in life
lmao weak era champ is opposite to all what you said. Mr. Anger issues 14-40

What a gentleman, one of the kind. Good luck Roger, we are going to miss you!!!!!
Roger Federer, a definition of Legendary Sports player.. bcz awards aren't as precious as the respect you earn..
He might not have had the same level of success as Djokovic or Nadal, but his legacy in the sport is unmatched. It cannot be surpassed.
Well said!
Absolutely

If you pass the ball like that to a line judge you get disqualified from the tournament.
