Hey everyone! I know we posted this video a couple of days ago but we had to private it for a few days to fix a technical thing. Here it is again!! Sorry if you already watched, hope you enjoyed! ☺️
There's nothing wrong with getting away from the UK tax burden, which is horrendous. People need to realise that it's a choice. You as a person and your company are highly sought after, and many countries are now offering tax incentives to entice you. I would highly recommend anyone who has a business or is a freelancer with no ties, to get out into the world and find a situation that suits them better. A word of caution though - if you are tax resident in Dubai and spend more time out of Dubai, that may invalidate your UK tax exemption, especially in the first 5 years, seek advice.
Few questions: If you are non-uk residents and still run a ltd company in the UK i.e. your real estate business, do you pay yourselves dividends into your Dubai company? And would that be tax free? Is your youtube channel run from your UK company or Dubai?
Congratulations to you guys' on being granted residency visa status by the UAE government! I am so happy for you two! Truth be told, i also i am a UAE resident ,and moving to Dubai from my home country is one of the decisions that i will NEVER have regrets about. I do wish you lot an abundance of success in your daily endeavours and i do hope your stay in Dubai/ UAE will turn out to be worthwhile!
My friend used to live in Dubai & now lives in the UK and he works with finances of expats his name is Hamzah Shalchi & company is Headway Wealth. Hope that helps :)
Great informative clip. Love everything about your channel. My questions for the follow up especially with your agent would be: 1. How much does each type of visa cost-Business Visa, Temp Resident visa etc and how long does each visa take? 2. How much is required to open/register a business there-both off-shore/online and on-shore/Dubai active business? 3. What are the tax differences on on-shore business vs off-shore online business? 4. What is the rough minimum initial deposit required to open a business bank account for these types of visa and any requirements, balance regulations and any recommendations from you and your agents team? Hope these questions will help me and many others who are interested in moving to Dubai and the whole process in general- TIME, COSTS, DEPOSITS, REQUIREMENTS.. Love you guys, - look forward to watching the follow up Q&A clip
My question 1.Can you set up any kind of business? Like I plan on starting a business where I resell products, does that count as a business & can I get my residence visa ? 2. I want to know more about the type of visa summer mentioned the “yearly visa, kind of a gap year visa” 3. I want to know more about the investor visa? How much do I need to invest? 4. The property visa, do I just purchase any kind of property & get the visa? I hope you answer all my questions, trying to see which option suits me best❤️
You guys are in for a treat. I’m glad you are residents now, but when you experience the summer you may not ever want to be here from July to September again. Personally, I’m going to Greece for that time frame - while it’ll be hot, i won’t die and there is tree and a breeze. Can’t wait until those videos 🤪
Cool videos but guys please add text overlays in your videos especially when talking about costs, or any statistics. It makes a massive difference. It's super easy to add in any video editing software.
Beautifully explained. Moving from London to Dubai Marina I went to the same medical centre. Took me 35 mins to get everything done without paying extra :)
Hey Matt and summer I would be very grateful if you could talk more about getting sponsored by an estate agents company in the uk to work abroad? Never heard about this be for. Your blogs are always a pleasure to watch.
A few questions if you don't mind: 1. For your business (visa) setup, do you actually need to do any kind of active business or hiring or its just set it up and forget it ? I am looking at the same route and I am mainly a freelance programmer/game-dev but confused if I setup a company in dubai am I liable for any obligations related to earning or hiring or having office space ? 2. Was it $10k total cost for both of your visas and business setup ? 3. I know you have mentioned you plan to move to Aus/different location and not settle in dubai, but even then looking at rent of apartments, do you think its better to buy one on mortgage instead of just paying rent ? Ideally looking to move and settle in dubai
What source did you use for renting month to month? I've been to Dubai a few times but thought you can only either do a very short term rental like a hotel, or a yearly rental? Thanks in advance
THANK YOU. But hold on... you paid 10k USD which includes 2 residence visa PLUS to register MAINLAND company PLUS includes agency fees? If that is so then I definitely need to talk to that agency, because I have been considering Freezone. Also, is that a 3yr residency? I doubt you guys will answer, but hopefully see this and do a video clarifying these questions.
Hi Matt & Summer. Happy to know that you guys are now officially a resident of Dubai. Can you share how a non-US, non-UK citizen can open a company to do online trading of US instruments i.e. US stock, US futures (crude oil futures) in Dubai? What type of company we can set up when we don't buy or sell anything in the UAE? The reason I'm thinking to do this is for the tax advantage Dubai has.. Thanks :)
Love listening to you Two....I/we (wife) had a medical business here in the Midwest, covered 4 States, hearing you two, kinda wish we had expanded to Europe.....keep up the good work.
Hey Matt and Summer. I hope you are well and thank you for an informative video. I set up a free zone company in the free zone last year and my requirement is that I need to visit the UAE once every 6 months, not 365 days as you state. Could this be because my company is in the free zone?
Hi Guys, this is Joshua. Yr videos are so informative and friendly, so thank you very much. I live and work in Glasgow and want to move to Dubai for a while. Would like to know if it is possible to get a job there whilst living in the UK? Also, how does the accommodation work? Do u need a huge deposit to rent? Would be great to have a video to cover the basics. Thanks a ton guys.
Interesting video. Can you please share the step by step process of applying resident visa / golden visa and also how to apply for medicals etc it would be really helpful
Only came across you two about 4 months ago and Love watching your vlogs. I'm English (Brighton) now living in Australia. So many more opportunities here than the UK. I have my own business and also rental properties, now getting into flipping houses as im from a building background. You'll love it here but be aware it gets bloody hot.

@@mattandsummer Hi Guys. Binks I believe Matt. So Matt and summer a friend is visiting Dubai in August and staying on the palm with her two teenage boys. Anything they can do that’s not too expensive please? Also I’m super stoked for you guys. Right are you not going to Australia now? And when are you going to put a Rock on summers Finger? It looks a bit bare. You are young and we are all like kids. It certainly will be worthwhile for them - the taxes alone that they cheat the British public out of will make sure of that.

Check out your local PKF Alliance or Alliott Alliance accounting firms as they have partner firms in UK, Dubai and Oz.
So could you still stay in the UK if you wanted to and use the NHS etc? Apologies if that sounds stupid.
Yes we could, we are still Uk citizens but in short our personal tax situation will depend on how many days per year we spend in the UK :)

Its illegal to use VPN in dubai….best not to promote that on your videos😉 that is why you can’t use VOIP such as whatsapp calls etc.
Getting a visa for both of you is only possible if you are married. So I guess you are married? If not, how did you get 2 visa?
Great video… why mainland company and not a free zone ?
Congrat and well done and best of luck
My only worry is Maktoum could change laws & rulings in Dubai in the morning ...hmmm !
What laws?
Laws can't be changed overnight
