🍓 What other flavors can we play with?!
If you wanna make it: jeanelleats.com/ube-rice-Krispies
U should maybe try pandan!! 🤩
Ube Puppy Chow. 😂
An Indian inspired version with white chocolate, cardamom, saffron and pistachios! Maybe add Gulkand (rose petal preserve) instead of raspberry jam or mango jam.
Looks yumme!
why do you emphasize the "S" sound in "krispies"
be like everyone else and avoid a brain aneurism
“ I can’t seem to stop putting ube in everything”
I felt that 😭
I do the same with vanilla 😭
How much ube do you have😂
an infinite amount
Im just waiting for the childhood story of how she won a lifetime supply of ube extract
a little goes a long way! I bought a big jug a few years ago. still haven't used it all!
@@Jeanelleats ❤
@@JeanelleatsHaha then its not a little then? A lot goes a long way😂
Am I the only one who says rice krispy treats instead of Rice Krispies treats
Me too! The fact that she says it the proper way that it should be said but it still sounds wrong 😂😂
Me too I know I'm wrong but it feels soo right
No I do too😂
The purple color is perfect for my daughter’s mermaid theme party.
Since every year I only cook Filipino foods for her bday, the Ube will stay true to the Filipino theme dishes served. Thank you for this idea.
Ooh! If you do the rice crispy treat idea, maybe you can mold them into seashells? It’d fit with the theme and it’d look cute! :)
@@cloudly_cane1534 great suggestion ❤️. Thanks.
That’s so sweet! (Just like the rice krispies heheh)
You should do a pandan and ube swirl. That would look really unique.
Great suggestion
You cant swirl rice Krispy treats unless you mean cake
@@kelsey2333i think you would fairly easily, like how you swirl saltwater taffy
Yesss!!! Pandan and Ube are delicious with everything!
The white bits and pieces contrasting with the bold purple color made this extra extra pretty.
its like a galaxy
@@Bread_likes_your_location i was about to say add blueberries for ‘blue’ but contemplated on whether or not that would taste good….better not.
I really thought that was you at the end😂😂😂 thanks for clearing it up
hahahaha to be honest it took me a while to realize how easily people confuse me and my sister! I totally understand
@@Jeanelleats does she know how to make a grilled cheese?
Thinking that you have done something wrong when things go smoothly is peak level of relatability.
P.s. That looks delicious.
❤
I love how you say rice krispiES treats. Lol. Most people just say rice krispie treats but the cereal is called rice krispies. These look so good too!
Don’t love it, but I also noticed it
Depends where you are, in nz we call them rice bubbles.
@@1838isfake Ohh I love that! Rice bubbles🫧
@@Mustard_Dispenser😂😂 same, it irked me lol
@@Mustard_Dispenser but because there's multiple krispies she's correct.
Rice krispie treats are one of my absolute favorites! I can kill one of those whole big sheets in a day lol
Those look sooo good, I need some ube extract
You should try s’mores treats. You make them the same exact way as Rice Krispies treats, but swap out the Rice Krispies cereal for Golden Grahams cereal, add chocolate chunks/chips, and you can even dip the bottom each bar in melted chocolate to give it a solid bottom and more of a chocolatey flavor.
I love ube. I love rice Krispy treats. I NEED to make this.
I swear Lisa is the steak master and Jeanelle is the ube master 😂❤
We should be calling u the *ube queen* 👑 at this point 😂😙
How about a Pandan Rice Krispies or Macapuno Rice Krispies? Is it even possible?
I change out the cereal often I have done rice, crispy treats with cinnamon toast crunch, and that was the best!
Oh. My. God. Mind. Blown. 🤯🤯🤯 Awesome idea!!! ❤❤❤
Hi! Loving this... What brand of extract are you using?
A matcha 🍵 Rice Krispie treat would be cool!
Lmao you've been regularly putting "that's my sister, not me" every time she comes up which makes me laugh so much. Lmao
We just finished our Rice Krispy Treats yesterday.
Next time, I'll try ube if I can find any.
I don't think any of my grocery stores carry ube though.
I guess online is where to go if it's not too expensive.
Yes, your sister looks like you. Thank you for clarifying that it's not you! 😄😅
No, please👌👌🙏🙏carry on with the Ube recipes xdD 🙏👊they're the best!, Id love one of those rice krispies (:), they look tasty amazing as always 🤗🤗🤗 Hoping u and your family are very ok Jeanell 💗💗 have a wonderful day ahead and take care ❣️ thanks for the content, it's so special to see!!!
Ooooh that was awesome!
Didn’t even think about mixing flavours in. You could do anything - Pandan, banana, strawberry and etcetera
Do pandan please! I wanna know what you might add or top that with!
"I thought I did something wrong" 😅 eight because when it's going good during cooking there's usually a problem 😂
You should try the traditional Filipino version of this. We call it ampaw/ampao. Usually made from left over rice. Iirc, it’s washed, sun dried then you fry them in oil. After puffing them, cook simple caramel, just sugar and calamansi in oil. After add the puffed rice. Not a huge fan of it but it’s ok and a nice use of left over.
bruh i’ve never heard anyone say it “rice krispies treats” before eventhough that’s probably correct. but in my mind its always been RICE KRISPY TREATS idk why
My jaw dropped 😭 I would love to gobble this (maybe with pandan too, idk how to make buko pandan zndksld) 🥺
I’m not a professional or anything but I think to help with the flavor, try a small batch with ube yam, my mama always puts some in almost anything that has ube flavoring, since the ube flavoring isnt enough hope this helps 🙂
Edit: I mean extract not flavoring 😅
So much Ube it is really cool to watch the process!
You know UA-cam is dumd when it says 0 comments
me when she says rice krispies treats instead of rice Krispy treat:you had one job..
I feel like ube is the Filipino equivalent add in to bacon being the American add in😅
Use the cocoa pebbles or the fruity pebbles.
This works with all cereal. I love to do this to the end of a bag of cereal.
Jeanelle, couldn't you put in more extract to get more flavour out of it?
i’m not a big fan of rice krispie treats, but i would eat that. my chompers would be chomping 🫣also, another flavor could be strawberry 🍓, orange 🍊, or any other fruit 🍎 🍉 🍌 🤷🏼♀️
Looks so delicious I love 💕 Rice Krispie treats and many flavors can be made and different options 🎉
Honestly I've watched so many of your videos, I just randomly bought ube extract... Not even for a specific recipe or anything lol, but will definitely try one of yours for it!
What if u did a reverse rainbow rice crispy challenge? U did ube for purple. Maybe u can do blueberry jam for blue, matcha for green, lemon for yellow, orange chocolate for orange, and red velvet for red?
I love UBE! Im definitely going to have to try this out!😅
If I could find an ube extract without blue food colouring in it I would eat it alot. 😭
ummm is there a new mandela effect bc it’s rice crispy treats😭
If you don’t make ubai mochi I will… or did you
omg yes i loved making chocolate rice crispies when i was younger
The clarification at the end 😂😂 my mom and my aunt look exactly the same
you can make rice krispies treats with any cereal!
I love the color payoff without the chemical colors. I think this world be great for birthday parties and Halloween
If you're interested in making more rice crispy treats i would try peanut butter as well (as long as there are no allergies of course) my girlfriend made me some with peanut butter before and i couldn't get enough of it and ate the entire thing in a day lol
The peanut butter ones are a totally different recipe though I would like to point out. It isnt made with marshmallow but you use corn syrup and peanut butter cooked together on the stove then mix the hot mixture into the rice krispies. There is other ingredients so look up a recipe if you wanna make it
Next time I make edible rice crispy treats I’m using this recipe
Can you try a matcha rice crispy treat?
That looks really delicious
Unclear, i oiled the ube jam jar, marshmallows, marshmallow packaging, spatula, pan, stove, and mittens
Some thing about saying rice, Krispies treats sounds funny lol I've always called them rice crispy treats. also, I love Ube. One of my favorite flavors.
Sarap. Good idea sister❤
Those are GORGEOUS! Try mixing in dehydrated strawberry powder. Or dried fruit pieces like pineapple & banana. Idk.. my mind is stuck on that beautiful purple lol.
Few weeks back I went to a Filipino restaurant and ordered something that has Ube in it..
As I’m an Indian the sweet waiter started explaining me that is similar to the tapioca but in purple.. I then I was like ‘UBE RIGHT??!’ The waiter was surprised..😂 and told the other waiter ‘she knows our ube!!’ THNKS TO YOUR UBE RECIPES..
Love your shirt man! Biden 2024
THIS IS GENIUS!!
I really wanna make this, it’s my husband’s childhood sweets but I would like a Filipino twist, Ube flavour. Augh how I wish may ube kami dito sa Cape Town. Like literally walang filipino anything dito, I really wanna make local Filipino taste for my family here 😭😩
PLEASE read this recipe!!
my sisters MIL has this amaaaaazing rice krispy recipe. it’s peanut butter & butterscotch and the combo tastes like heaven! plus the recipe is super easy!!
ingredients:
- 6 cups rice krispy cereal
- 2 cups butterscotch morsels
- 1 cup peanut butter
directions are as follows:)
measure out your rice krispies into a large bowl & set aside. in a separate bowl, add your cup of peanut butter and 2 cups butterscotch morsels. heat in the microwave in 15 second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted & combined. then just dump into the rice krispies and make sure to incorporate VERY WELL. line a 9x13 baking dish with parchment paper and pour the rice krispy mixture in. the secret is to make sure you pack it down really well or else they won’t stick together! pop in the fridge for 2 hours, remove, and cut into squares:)
best to keep them stored in the fridge, otherwise they get pretty melty.
i can’t even explain how delicious this combo is, but i regularly make these and take a bunch to work and everybody LOVES them
my sisters MIL recently passed, so i’m glad i can continue sharing her recipe for others to enjoy even after she’s gone
if you could make a video of you making these, or even just try them, i’d be delighted:))
Put a layer of MOCHI in the middle!!!!!! Make it into rice krispy bars🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I haven’t tried ube yet! I’ve been wanting to for like ever 😭😭
i love ube but I always feel like jeanelle's ube is different from the ube that i know. Those super extra purple color of jeanelle's ube, scares me...😂😂😂
I want to try this with fruity pebbles. A mochi doughnut shop near us made ube fruity pebbles doughnuts this spring (their flavors are different every week) and they tasted like I was watching Saturday Morning Cartoons.
That's so yummy and I will make them coconut makes a good pairing as well so what kind of ube do you use??? Is that a paste??? I want to know so I can hit the asian grocery store okay thanks for sharing!!! 💜💜💜💜💜
I LOVE that you actively love your Doug 😊
I've never heard someone call it "Rice Krispie's" treats. It makes me chuckle thinking of some weird cryptid named Rice Krispie who owns all the treats.
I like using Coco Krispies to make treats. I bet that would be great with the raspberry.
However, don't try to shape them as Easter eggs....not a good look.
If you're into peanutbutter and chocolate, you can totally add peanutbutter or any nut butter really, into your rice crispy treats. I used to make sunbutter rice crispy treats, and throw in chocolate chips and rainbow colored chocolate candy coated sunflower seed kernels. They were soooo good and the colorful sunflower candy on top always looks pretty and festive and is a real hit with children and adults. :) I've seen people make birthdaycake rice crispy treats too, where you use cake batter extract flavoring and add in a bunch of colorful sprinkles and white chocolate chips, and those look fun too! Rice crispy treats are a pretty versatile base recipe, so you could probably come up with all sorts of interesting and unique flavor combos! You can even swap out the plain rice crispies for chocolate or fruity pebble type cereal if you want a flavor twist. Tbh, I've also made them multiple times with all of the leftover cereals at the bottom of the bags when cleaning out the pantry before, and a mixed cereal crispy treat can actually be really fun and different texturally! I think I once mixed applejacks, cinnamon toast crunch, and honey nut cheerios in with the rice cereal, and the sweet cinnamony-ness was really good! It gets really sweet really fast if you use a sweetened cereal though, so I really like adding in nutbutter when I use sweetened cereals, so that the saltiness helps counterbalance the sweetness, though the texture can get a little bit softer if you use too much nut butter, so I usually would make a big batch and just swap out some of the butter for nutbutter.
Rice crispy treats... without using rice crispy brand rice crispy
Honestly i love making rice crispies, theyre even better with homemade marshmallows (also not as hard as you'd think)
You don’t need to put ube in anything I’ve had ube pancakes and I don’t remember it tasting different if anything it makes the food look less appetizing and quite frankly in something like this disgusting
I noticed you cutting ip the bars after theyd set- totslly valid, but homemade rice krispy treats are best still warm while the marshmllow stretches, you have a clump instead of a solid bar, and you have to clean your fingers of the marshmallow afterwards
You shoukd try making it with cornflakes. Cornflake cakes are my favourite.
If you find your rice crispy treats too soft, add a tablespoon of cornstarch to the marshmallow next time. Break up the chucks and stir it well and it will be more stiff.
Okay.. I'm sorry. I didn't get the UBE memo. What the H is UBE???? 🤔🧐
THOSE CRISPIES are impossible to get in guyana
Wow thanks for sharing your recipe
Everytime I see purple in my shorts recommend I know it's you and I know it's ube 😂
I know this is going to be controversial, especially on this channel…but ube is overrated…
Instead of marshmallows use honey heat it up for 10-16 minutes and mix in the rice crispies
Making them from scratch is so much bette than store bought maybe it’s the butter but I just make mine in a mug or bowl and melt the butter and marshmallows for like a minute a quick snack or dessert
Where I come from, we call these Iggy wiggys for some reason. I don't know why but we do.
I remember when cereal used to almost expire my grandma would make rice crispy treats for us it’s really one of the easiest desserts to make!!!!
Sometimes ube smell stays at the back of your throat. But then again i ate a ton of ube icecream.
imaging mcdonalds made these for Grimace's "birthday"
Ooo my family likes to mix in freeze dried raspberries with chocolate rice Krispies to make ours!
Thank you for that oil tip!!! Oh you could do pandasal is that how it’s spelt, with white chocolate and bacon bits at the top or sea salt your pick .
The purple of the ube reminds me of the monster dishes from tears of the kingdom, makes me wonder if the devs put that in as a secret ingredient🤔
Try making edible Marijuana, rice, crispy treats lol
I had this idea. And then I ran into your video while I was searching for rice krispies bar recipe. 🤩
There is no ube in here except for purple food coloring! Pretty misleading!
peanut butter rice crispy treats r delicous, i add the pb after the butter and marshmallows have melted together
I like a hint of citrus zest and a bit of cinnamon in rice crispy treat. Not all the time, but if I am in the mood for a guwie cinnamon toast
Rice crispy treats are the instant Mac and cheese of desserts. I’m surprised you have never made them before.
Peanut butter and chocolate. It’s amazing, trust me.
Jeanelle’s ube obsession is heavily healthy as my obsession for Pho xD this is soooo pretty ❤️
These with some orange and black decorations would be so cute for Halloween
