    Mike having someone critic his work helps strengthen bag work. Helping maintain proper form. Even though he's got 25+ yrs of boxing. Fighters can always strengthen skills no matter how advanced.

      Bunch of Klingons telling him how great he used to be. Good thing that bag doesn't hit back cause I'm pretty sure you can't train your chin. Give it up already with the fantasy comeback Mikey. You screwed your legacy with your 6 losses and biting an opponent in a championship bout.
      You were good for about 5 years, you never beat Holyfield and you never beat Lennox Lewis. And you never dared fight George Foreman even when he was an old man.
      You kept fighting tomato cans and avoided anybody who was good. Now your legacy is what it is. Not too bad, just not even close to the greatest you might have been.

    At his age only question I have for Mike is his stamina. Cause his speed and power is still remarkably intact and he’s in great shape.

    • @NesolitS
      @NesolitS 3 місяці тому +50

      The power is still there but not as well focused as before which is normal, while the speed is not ideal for a match with a much younger boxer. The distance is completely shortened, as are the shots, and I'm also worried about his endurance, because I don't believe he can sustain full speed for more than 3 rounds.

    • @MrKarlozz
      @MrKarlozz 3 місяці тому +51

      Nah, his speed and power have also declined, which is expectable. He'd still beat the piss out of 99.9% of dudes in boxing gyms lol

      Exactly - He has all these yes-men boosting his ego & morale, instead of making him work his weaknesses. His explosiveness comes from very good form / technique, but what he needs to be training is how to maintain consistent pressure in those long boxing rounds.

    I dont know why mike quit and frankly i dont care. This man is a raised knocking people the f out machine. Most people might think his power is his explosiveness or power or peakabo style. Well yeah all of those could be strong points, the real secret is his impeccable genius understanding of the art and his art. He perfected his craft. His form. His explosiveness. His speed. The form is close to perfect and every move has purpose. This is a man that has grown wisdom and confidence. He is probably training out of camera view harder then you’ve ever trained for something ur whole life. Don’t forget his work ethic. He didnt just get fat and old and sit his life away. He continued to sharpen and hone his body. He still has more muscles at his age then most people have ever had. Thats from working out everyday. He put the competition away but the competition never put him away. He was once a young lion now hes a full grown lion. Maybe hes not as fast as he was but he sure is hell aint as dumb of a fighter as he was. That fight against buster showed his flaws in who was and how he faught. A grown lion vs a young tiger. Thisll just be a battle of the young lions better physical shape at hunting vs the lion whos perfected how to hunt. The older lions killed 50 and the younger lions only played with 10. Mike faught the greatest and most physically inshape warriors of his time. While jake is boutta fight a 60 year old guy. My moneys on mike.

    The issue is, with most heavyweights, is going to be the gastank. If Tyson can keep a pace that isn't going to burn him out, Jake is going to have some serious problems. He's still a threat, its just how many rounds will he remain dangerous?

      They don't absorb the punches like a typical heavy bag. Your wrist tends to move more with the impact. I split my "lunate bone" basically broke my wrist with my ulna. 30 years later I still can't turn a door knob with that hand.
