3:00 a quick question about biome generation, is it possible for a biome to be LESS than 1x1x1? To clarify, I'm not saying that as a joke, I'm asking whether a biome can be just the edge/corner of a single block, I assume such a detail could be identified via the way it changes the generation of adjacent blocks despite not generating any of its own, or maybe with biome blending smoothing the color of grass between the 2/3 biomes despite the edge/corner biome not being a full block. If this is just utter nonsense then I apologize, I'm not really all that familiar with Minecraft's biome generation, I'll probably get flamed in replies with how stupid this might be.
The minecart spawner happened because a dungeon and a mineshaft overlapped and the minecraft with a chest from the mineshaft spawned on top of the spawner. This is the same reason why triple chests used to spawn, just more common
Everytime I spawn in, I tend to spawn in on tiny little islands in the middle of the ocean without any big land anywhere. The best spawn I got for it though was spawning on a mushroom island, that was directly next to another one. I believe I took pics of it since it was only last year (if my memory is correct lmao)
@@alexlackey5278no. Unless the biome includes the surrounding waters, then mooshrooms will not spawn. They can only spawn on ground that is in a mushroom biome. Edit: this got me thinking, what if biomes in Minecraft worked like biomes in terraria did…that’d be cool af

just checked, i guess the game updated while you were making the video. it's version 1.20.81 now, and anomaly #9 no longer works. the seed and coordinates still lead you to a nice-looking area though, so might be good for building edit: turns out the area is an ENORMOUS mesa biome, and at 2812676 254 -218 there's this huge pillar that just stands on its own, very scenic
Ahh I was worried that would happen before people got to try it. That’s sad but at least the anomaly was documented for a lot of people to see. And it’s cool that it’s a nice looking area now!
Watching this video reminded me of something I once came across in a survival world. I was diamond mining at y -58 and then I suddenly heard the deep dark soundtrack play. I got excited and dug around for a while, but I couldn't find any other signs of the biome (and I did have my F3 screen open). It seemed that I found a deep dark that was only a block or two in size, and hadn't even generated any sculk blocks! I wouldn't have ever noticed it if it weren't for the biome's soundtrack sudden playing during my mining trip!
I’ve had a trial chamber spawn (Bedrock) where there would have been a small deep dark if not for said trial chamber. There was just a random sculk patch right in the middle of one of the rooms! It was pretty cool

4:36 I remember generating a 1.15.2 world, making a build, only to then realize a dark forest so small it covered one block on the X, Y and Z axis and didn't have anything on top. Don't remember the seed, though.
Do you still have access to the device that world was on? If so, reinstall Minecraft if needed. I know it doesn't automatically save worlds between devices, but it might be able to give back the ones you had on the same one.
@@theslaya1576 I know that and I have the device and it already has MC (both JE and BE) installed. The reason why I don't have access to that world anymore is because I had to wipe the SSD that had that world on it and reinstall Windows.

The glitch where mountains are replaced by voids (and lava) seems to be a positive integer thing in Bedrock. I'm over 5.7M blocks out in the negative (West, or X axis), every mountain is normal.

@Rovant The island with the stronghold is a function in the game. Whenever a stronghold spawns in a cave it generates a bunker like formation around it as if you go inside of a cave in bedrock or java "with a stronghold inside" it will most likely be hidden inside UNLESS! a cave or ravine generates, this will cause it to expose the bunker and the stronghold inside... (The next part is useless information) - Bunker formation includes stone, deepslate, and dirt + grass which the dirt is *VERY RARE*
This video made me decide to post a seed I've been sleeping on for a few years now. A seed that has a Modified Jungle Edge with no Swamp Hills biome for thousands of blocks. Works on Java 1.14-1.17. Normally Modified Jungle Edges generally needed Swamp Hills biomes to spawn. Seed: -522547568882592693 Coordinates (copy-pastable for /tp): 324 ~ 1552
I’ve found several one block biomes before! They were on old worlds that I don’t have anymore (due to the Microsoft account shift and because of server site me and my friends used being shut down). I didn’t know they weren’t documented that much. Wish I could’ve gotten pictures of them. A lot of the time they’re in the ocean or just big bodies of water.
On Switch, I had a trial chamber generate so deep that the layout went past bedrock and made a hole into The Void. The dubbed the chamber “The Void Gate”.
someday id like to see a means of making full world maps for display, likely combining pre-generating an entire minecraft world, coupled with something like dynmap.
I love this series a lot so hopefully a break from it would help, if you do decide to come back someday. They're always so interesting and the style is really cool.

genuine question - why do so many anomaly seeds have the anomaly located at spawn? is it more efficient for seed hunters to only check spawn on many seeds, instead of diving deeper into fewer seeds?
I checked the tallest fall for Bedrock seed in the most recent update as of now, 1.21.23, and it still works! I felt like I achieved something great when I fell from that tree. 😁
I had one of those rare teeny biomes in a test world I made a while back. I found a forest biome with roughly a 3x3 area of jungle right in the middle. I only noticed because that mini jungle spawned a tall jungle tree lol

I once found a cherry biome that consisted of one (1) tree. It was about 20 blocks total (on the surface ofc). I don’t know the seed as it was on a friends server which has since been reset, but it was rlly funny lmao

found a triple spawner in my world. zombie spawner together with a cave spider spawner in a mineshaft, and just 10 blocks away theres another cave spider spawner. ive made an insane xp farm there, somehow they dont overlap and work just fine, giving me 30 levels in just a few minutes
i had a house completely surrounded by water like that in one of my worlds o: there were other houses there that were not fully covered by the water, and they were high off the ground too so you had to swim up the water to get in lol. from what i remember it didn't have a lake though, it was near a mountain/cave area o.o

if this was generated before chest carts existed it would've probably made another extremely rarecase of the quad-pig-spawner

I remember setting sail to find a mushroom island to get a mooshroom... all I found was a single block of mycelium.
Easy fix. Take some dirt, expand the land, let the mycelium spread to the dirt, boom. Mooshrooms

The stronghold island anomaly reminds me of the 1.9 prerelease stronghold structures, which were supposed to be exposed like that. Cool find!

I checked the coords you listed on the 2 seeds on anomaly 9 and found no pillars

I found a tiny cherry grove biome and a tiny jungle biome on a server. They where not as small as in the video but both had only one tree.

i've found an old growth birch forest with no birch trees, with pretty much the entire biome inside a structure (a trail ruin)
