No the dual beadlocks are the best i prefer the hiper carbon wheels over aluminum. If you damage an aluminum wheel you have to replace the whole wheel. With hipers its a 4 or 5 piece wheel you can fix.
Great video John. Way better than Rekluse’s video. I’m installing the same clutch in a yfz450r myself and the problem I’m having is when I get enough free play gain the quad wants creep to much. When I get it to where it doesn’t creep much I don’t think there’s enough free play gain. Instructions said 3 holes past the mark counter clockwise and I’m currently only one hole past. I’ve gone both ways clockwise and counterclockwise 4 holes each way and this was the best for the most free play gain without it creeping out the garage.

This is an auto clutch so basically in gear the quad will not stall. You still have to shift like normal and you can use the clutch still like normal but you dont have too. As far as lockouts i have no idea man never used one so.

Where are you located at I have 2 2020 se one for me and daughter I don't trust alot of shops around my area and would like you to install them I have 2 of these clutch I also have a fmf full exhaust and custom fuel intake and a vortex icu I think it's called
I would honestly pull it back apart and redo it. Something might be off. Sometimes the basket does not fully seat inside the shaft when you put it in spin it while pushing in.

Just the basket/washer Its pretty easy to do once you remove the clutch pack u bolt the center hub nut slide the hub out Then the washer Then the basket And then install the new basket/washer/hub/nut!
Have you ever used Hinson clutch basket I bought the basket alone and seems like two steel pressure plates did not want to go in smooth I have to jam it in
Hey just did this swap it seems like stock clutch cover and seal they had some rubberized sealant around it and I bend the stock gasket so I need a new one.? After I removed my stock clutch yours looks different then mine did you change your clutch housing If that's what you call it and why and should I change it as well
@@ononewheel7 hey just got that clutch put in went good besides I destroyed my oem stock gasket had a bunch of rubber stuff on it. Anyways after I got it installed I checked my play and get a small movement like 16th of a inch and in first gear it want to creep forward some if no one is on the bike is that normal?? If not how do you fix it also I can't start the bike unless it is in neutral I didn't think it mattered

Nice man! Rekluses aren’t for everyone after i broke my wrist(clutch hand) i started using these it was the only way i could ride for almost two year before it stopped hurting me and ive just stuck w them ever since!

I just did a video on wheels/tires check it out. I run hipers and love them along w gbc tires and tire balls its a killer combination.

Brother is this a lockout clutch? I only hillshot or drag my R and was looking for a lockout what do you recommend?
This is an auto clutch so basically in gear the quad will not stall. You still have to shift like normal and you can use the clutch still like normal but you dont have too. As far as lockouts i have no idea man never used one so.

Well back in 2009/2010 you had two options with the yfz

Hey man so I got a 2021 450r and I was replacing the clutch basket to get rid of the “bad springs” and now my clutch isn’t engaging any suggestions?
I would honestly pull it back apart and redo it. Something might be off. Sometimes the basket does not fully seat inside the shaft when you put it in spin it while pushing in.

Years ago i had a hinson clutch on my kfx i never had any issues! I am using oem 2009-2010 yamaha baskets!

The basket sleeves are designed to use with the rekluse torque drive plates only.

What year is yours? There are issues with the 2011-current clutch baskets they can explode at any time and take out your engine

what model number is the rekluse radius cx? Also did those basket sleeves come with the rekluse pack?
Its just the radius cx for my yfz450r

Is it common after the clutch is installed that the lever has more then the thickness of a nickel?
Do i need to adjust the cable ?
Its just very loose
With any new clutch you will need to readjust the lever and cable slack. The yfz calls for like 1/8” of free play in the lever.

You still can have engine braking just have to rev the throttle!

Nope so once the machine drops to idle it will freewheel but once you rev it it will engage!
