    I'm really glad that you got the channel back online. I'm going to be putting one on my YZ250FX soon. I freaked out when I couldn't find it the other day, until I found your video explaining what had happened. You make great videos and I don't think most people understand how much work it takes. Thanks

    Pro tip: Other way (which I preferred) is to spin inner ring all the way it and use the external freeplay gain method. This way you can adjust at perch AND you can bump start bike by letting out freeplay at lever in case electric start fails.

      That works for sure, I just don't like the feel of the lever being banjo tight. It just feels weird to me when feathering the clutch. I do like the idea of being able to bump start in a pinch.

      @@highlandcycles agreed. Clutch pull is a little harder.
      Just thought I'd add that info for peoples understanding.
      I didn't like having to pull cover to adjust... something I don't have to deal with on my KTM because of the adjustment on the slave cylinder 👌

      @@highlandcycles great video. I install my recluse following your instructions, and everything has seemed to work out except for the free play gain. It seems like no matter what I do. I can’t adjusted to have the little but of gain.

    Will the Rekluse offer any added "flywheel" effect in low speed tight technical sections to help avoid "flame out" and stalling? I know the Auto-clutch is supposed to handle that but as hard hitting as the YZ450f is already I can see it falling on its face despite the Auto-clutch. I've already taken the "teeth" out of the bike with mapping but it needs more help like the Rekluse would offer in the tight New England woods. Great vid and editing. THX!

      I would look at a flywheel weight. The Rekluse won't do that part

      @keithduffany9725 2 місяці тому +1

      The best flywheel weighting option I've found for the 450f is actually an entire, heavier clutch basket. $300+ With that, I'm a 1/3 of the way to buying the Rek 4.0 if it would solve ALL the issues. 🥴

    Good job. I would like to ride a bike with one installed. Oh I know install one on your KDX and I can try it out in April. Yeah yeah that’s it. Lol. Thanks for sharing my friend.

    I have Rekluse Radius CX on my 2021 Yale YZ250FX. Everything is set up correctly but I've noticed much harder clutch lever pull after installing Radius CX. Is this normal.

    Good idea those sleeves on clutch basket 👍

  • @tedking9793
    @tedking9793 2 роки тому +2

    Are those sleeves you put on the clutch basket unique to the Rekluse kit? Or are they a part you can get for most other bikes?

    • @highlandcycles
      @highlandcycles  2 роки тому

      They are from Rekluse and they might only work with Rekluse friction plates since the fingers on the plates would have to be narrower to fit. They only make them for the Japanese bikes. I know that Barnett makes a sweet clutch basket that has sleeves like that.

    Dang I just noticed the guy hitting the iron gate on the intro. Did he break body or bike parts?

    Hey I got a question?? I bought a 2013 Husaburg TE300 that the previous owner Installed a rukluse auto clutch core exp and did not give me any of the parts that he replaced when is stalling it. Question is what do I need to do to go back to a manual clutch??

    • @highlandcycles

    Man I’m still getting tons of drag on my 250fx after install. I do have a flywheel weight as well so maybe I need less gain or something. Any ideas?
