    After nine full days of urban exploring in Italy we arrived at home yesterday. The Proper People, Tobi_urbex and we have explored beautiful abandoned sites all over the Northern part of the country. We have experienced many thrilling adventures and made some awesome memories with the other guys. We shot 20 places in total and will present the footage to you soon. Stay tuned!

    I really appreciate how professionally you present your content. Many other urban explorers could benefit greatly by taking a page or two from your playbook! I have a problem with vertigo to the point that I cannot watch some videos because the camera operator moves around too much or does not keep the camera stabile enough, so I have to stop watching because it induces nausea. That’s not the case with your videos-I can watch all the way through without skipping anything or having to click off of it. Also, I love that you provide relevant information about the sites you explore. Keep up the amazing work.

    This was chilling and unsettling. My first thought was how could they have left behind that massive collection of memorabilia and awards by their dogs. Then I remembered a lady I knew that bred beautiful Bouviers. They were her life. I wrote a newspaper article about her years ago. She had a beautiful home she built with her brother. After some time he moved away. She couldn’t keep up the mortgage and eventually abandoned the house. I was told it was in terrible condition. I guess she sold the dogs. They were large and needed a lot of room. I guess when dreams are shattered “things” don’t mean the same. Just speculation of course but the situations are eerily similar. Thanks once again for an amazing adventure. ❤️

    What puzzles me the most is how people can leave so many things behind such as the trophies and documents and pics. (And i imagine there might have been even more stuff that got stolen.) I mean it's so easy to take a box and bring it with you. What happened really? How can people leave a place with so much stuff behind? I can't think of anything but something tragic or violent.

    • @mwsparky2
      @mwsparky2 6 років тому +11

      I was thinking the same. Surely the people are traceable perhaps, and there must be either relatives or the people themselves still around. I agree, they probably must have left in a hurry, I would at least have taken my memories such as photos, certificates, trophies etc.. how weird ??

    WOW!! This was a truly eerie and haunting exploration. I love the way you capture and convey the feeling of a place through carefully composed shots combined with appropriate music...you never miss the mark. This once was a very imposing property, and it is clear that the family enjoyed a high quality of life. I find it strange that so much documentation was simply left behind to moulder along with the buildings. At least we know the dogs ate well. The unfinished ham was an unexpected find and gave the impression of a swift departure at the end. Thank you for sharing the history along with your considerable artistry. Looking forward to seeing what you got up to in Italy. Keep on doing what you do so well...and stay safe out there. 🖤🇨🇦

I loved the informative style and the stunningly beautiful cinematography. One shot in particular, the one through the broken glass where you pulled focus to the tree outside was so beautiful.
    I was afraid this would be another clickbait urbex channel with exaggerated reactions and panic to everything. But you surprised me. I loved that you guys showed these hanging spines with respect, no panic and no theories about suspected psychopaths or any other made up story. Not only that but you actually provided a well thought through explanation as to why those bones where there.

    I stand by my initial thought.. eery, yet such a stunning place. That algae on the walls was beautiful; great camera work.
    Although my initial thought was those bones had to be just leftover game bones - great Danes are big boys, I really hope those weren't dog spinal cords. Definitely creepy, but made for a hauntingly gorgeous view.

    • @rosiellagrace
      @rosiellagrace 6 років тому +1

      PADDYDOYLE that's reassuring.. but like, are you sure? Hahha, people are weird and I've seen some massive great Danes, let alone any that were show dogs and bred, ya know. It just looked like a wider animal than something similar to a deer which, is as far as my hunting and bone knowledge goes. Deer don't tend to get that big in the eastern part of the States, anyway.

    • @Zyeine
      @Zyeine 6 років тому +7

      They're not spines from dogs, please don't worry! They look like a mixture of Bovine/Porcine so were most likely purchased from a farm or butcher or possibly hunted if they came from wild Boars rather than farmed pigs. I wonder if that has anything to do with the abandonment as it's incredibly dangerous to feed raw pork to dogs, especially so if the meat is sourced from wild animals as there are many diseases that can be carried by pigs which are fatal to dogs. Countries with large populations of wild and feral pigs, including Germany, have had and are still having issues with Swine Fever which is both an extremely contagious and robust virus in it's ability to survive and remain as an infection risk within the pigs, their meat and their surroundings.
      If they lost their dogs due to that kind of illness or infection it could possibly be one of the reasons for a loss in income that would contribute to bankruptcy and might also explain the abandonment of personal belongings and trophies, left behind as they would be mementos too painful to carry away.

    • @rosiellagrace
      @rosiellagrace 6 років тому +3

      @@Zyeine that's what the logical side of my mind was thinking, although I'm not too familiar with the sort of game that would have been common there.. it did seem moreso that was a 'feeding' room of sorts, after butchering the meat. That's an excellent theory as to why the place went downhill quickly, actually; thanks for sharing and educating me on the typical game, too.
      My morbidity kinda took over and all I could see where dog carcasses, hahha, I'm sure you're much closer to the truth of them!

    • @Zyeine
      @Zyeine 6 років тому +4

      You're welcome! When I saw the thumbnail in conjunction with the title I was thinking "oh hell no" but when the history of the occupiers was given and the photos were shown, it seemed more that they loved their dogs and took great pride in them. There aren't many good reasons for people to leave things behind if they have pleasant memories attached so I did a lot of googling about the area and what was going on ecologically before and around the time that the place was abandoned.
      I can definitely understand the morbidity and there's a touch of the subliminal in the titling of the video, you're expecting to see something "disturbing" and bones immediately bring up connotations in that direction.
      I find the psychology of abandonment really interesting and, adversely, the psychology of hoarding as a polar opposite. I spent a significant amount of my childhood exploring abandoned places and was lucky enough to grow up in a town that had a huge abandoned Victorian house. Used to daydream about renovating it when I grew up so practised my DIY skills by "borrowing" tools, supplies and paint from my parents and dedicated all my free time to fixing up one of the upstairs rooms. And setting up a load of tin cans on strings, mirrors and certain other things that would scare the shit out of any potential vandals or arsonists.
      That's where my love of abandoned places and urbex'ing comes from but damn, my Mum would have flipped if she'd known what I was up to.
      If you don't mind me asking, what is it about abandoned places that interests you the most?

    • @LisavonTBI
      @LisavonTBI 6 років тому +4

      I don't think that people, who have been dog breeders for so many years, wouldn't know how dangerous it is to feed pig-meat to their dogs, especially Great Danes. These dogs are very sensitive. The spinal cords shown in the video are from calves and some of them could be sheep :)

    My mom bred and raised norweigen elkhound pups. The parents and pups were fed ground horse meat which was legal in 1970 State of Nevada USA. The hanging carcasses reminded me of meat prepared and fed by breeders to their dogs. Something which is not quite so familiar on our prepared purchased foods of today. Even for animals like dogs as there are speciality refrigerators in grocery stores stocked with fresh prepared dog food in plastic tubs!

    Reminds me somewhat of the housing meltdown here in the 'States in 2008; many houses in my neighborhood were abandoned, as they cost too much to build and no one could sell them for enough to recover their investment. We had neighbors for a time from abroad, but the post-9/11 laws introduced many new complications for people trying to settle here, and eventually they had to return to their home country abruptly. The house sat empty for several years. When the bank finally was in a position to sell it, they had a yardsale to get all the family's belongings out before the new owner moved in. It was so sad to see the context of someone's entire life out on the street corner, along with the kids' treasured Star Wars toys. These days we could have gotten some of it and mailed it to them, but back then there were still surprising gaps in who had an email address and how information was shared...

Why would you leave all of your clothes behind? All your photos & memories? Very bizarre but so ridiculously wasteful. Someone should be able to go in before the place & everything in it decays & collect anything that's still usable & donate it to charity. To not allow someone to do so is greed at it's very worst; a case of I don't want but no-one else can have it. 😒

    I was in the DDR prior to the reunification, but we never got to see these beautiful palaces, only a small part of East Berlin, best part was the Pergamon Museum, but I wish I would have seen the beautiful countryside of Germany.

    6:35 we used to live in Europe. in some places, they hang a leg of cured meat in a bar or small restaurant. if you want a sandwich, they would cut off slices & make you your meal

    Besonders eigenartig finde ich immer, wie man Fotos zurücklassen konnte. So etwas ist doch voll persönlich. Selbst wenns schnell gehen musste oder man sich ins Ausland abgesetzt hat... so was nimmt man doch mit. Komisch. Ô.õ
