Footnote the spater resistance sprays work pretty well on glass too, like for the unremovable glass or for quick grinding around glass 😜, sick job 0n the cage b.e.a.utiful
I’ve used the ‘tip dip’ for the welder on stuff to keep the spatter from burning in. I considered it for the glass, but that’s a lot of film to clean up after. This style weather strip is easy enough I’d rather pull the windows.
Where are you guys anchoring it too? Frame underneath or body mount supports. Would have liked to seen that. Kinda wondering on my bronco2 how I'm going to do it.
I forgot to put those clips in. 🤦🏻♂️ The A, B, & C pillar all go down to the sliders. The front of the sliders have another support running up to the support for the front shock hoop. For the D pillar, I built stand-offs out of 2x6” square tube that come off the rails.
No. 1: I have personally tried the ‘foil trick’ and it doesn’t work. There are other ways to prevent the spatter hitting the glass but... 2: the windshield had to come out to put the tubes in place anyway.
Lockers before light bars! Can't wait to get started on my 65 carryall/C60. Thanks for the inspiration.
That is awesome. Great job!

wouldn't laying down a couple wide sheets of aluminum foil on the windshield save time & effort? Curious
No.
