  • Have trouble finding the perfect bag to carry your flat pack gear on your bike? Here, I show you awesome bags and accessories for the Trek Blendr mount system. This is an easy way to mount lights, computers, bags, and FENDERS to your bike.
    I show you the different bags that I've used over the years but also what R&D has done to make bags and mounting items to your bike so much more efficient and awesome.
    Blendr is the ultimate integration system for clean and easy installation of lights, computers, and other accessories on your bike’s stem and saddle. The system is as easy as 1-2-3-find your stem, then your base mount, and finish with your accessory mount.

    You said medium. Is that the .5L one? I see a .3 .5 and 1.0 on the website

    Nice. What's not clear is why won't the saddle bag mount wouldn't fit on most road bike saddles. Why would the saddle bag bracket fit on a Trek Aeolus saddle, but not on a Selle Italia saddle? I bet it would. I'll take my saddle to the Trek store and report back if possible. Thanks again.

      Other manufacturers haven't installed the two bolt wholes in their saddles. It's something Trek/Bontrager came up with a few years back. Thanks for watching!

      I went to the Trek store and confirmed as you have explained; the rear Blendr saddle mount bolts to the underside of the saddle and doesn't clamp to the rails, so it will only work with the compatible saddles, as you explained. @@JakebMiller

      Thank you watching, I'm glad you were able to see why it doesn't work with other saddles. Hate to say it but, designed by us, for us.

    Thanks. Any advice on mounting a variable with Blender mounts? Is that in the works?

      Haven't heard of anything yet. Did have someone come in the other day that found some guy that 3d prints a mount.

    Does it work without the saddle bag (i.e. fender & light only? Is there enough room to add a normal saddle bag with those accessories mounted?

    • @JakebMiller
      @JakebMiller  10 місяців тому +1

      It sure does. There are two mounting points. Bags on one and the others are on the 2nd one. I'd say there would be enough room if you did a different bag. Only thing, us that the way a traditional bag mounts(with velcro straps) it would be pulled up into the other mount and would block access to opening the bag.

    I am surprised that you are not using a Garmin Varia radar light.

      I have been thinking about get one. We have several our riders that use them. Again the reason this system is so nice, it removes everything off the seat post so that you put your bike in a stand quickly. Thank you for watching!

    WOuldn't the fender make more sense if it kept crud from getting all over the opening of the saddle bag? Seems like the zipper area is still gonna get mud and crud flung up into that.

    • @JakebMiller
      @JakebMiller  9 місяців тому

      Yes, but the main reason for a fender or Ass Saver, is to keep your backside clean. When you feel the material of the bag and the type of zipper that is used, you'll notice that it is waterproof and it seals pretty tight. So you shouldn't have too many issues with the environment getting inside. Thanks for watching and your question!

      @@JakebMiller Yeh - I get that - I guess for road grim it would be fine. I was just thinking for gravel or mountain bikes you're gonna have a lot of mud and whatnot thrown up into the zipper and making it a mess to deal with ... I like the idea otherwise. I've switched from the old Ass Saver style to the new ones that mount on the chain stays for this reason. If I do need in my saddle bag while on trails it is not mucked up.

      @davidjohnstone4975 That is one thing I didn't mention,this is built for only road bikes. The system is so rigid, any heavy bouncing/vibrations could possibly break it.

      The large is pretty large but, it's not long, so I don't know if that would fit. If there is a store near you, pop in and test it.
