- I found the Explore POV app in the App Store and its a great immersive experience for the Apple Vision Pro. You can see the world without ever having to leave home or book a trip. Here is a quick demo and my thoughts on the app

I really appreciate your review and honest feedback and it was awesome to watch your reactions in real time! Regarding the camera setup, I use the Canon R5C with some clever upscaling. I understand the file sizes can be hefty and a bit timely to download, but quality is a huge priority, to ensure the best possible experience!
Since you posted this review, Explore POV has expanded beyond New Zealand to include stunning locations from 8 new countries, including Australia, Cook Islands, France, Norway, Iceland, Greece, Morocco, and Switzerland. We've also added premium content with new videos dropping every Friday - think riding a camel in the desert and hiking in the Swiss Alps!

As an older person who loves to travel (and not able to as much), spatial videos of all the wonderful places around the world so I could at least travel virtually would be absolutely spectacular. Since Disney owns National Geographic and National Geographic has many really wonderful actual tours, there is a real opportunity for travel spatial videos... with the tour guide talking to you (if you want to listen) talking about all these wonderful places as you see them...just as one would do on an actual tour. You are right in the costs of actually seeing these place is high and getting higher. And there is increased risk for some of these places. I would very seriously consider paying for a virtual/spatial tour as a subscription or per event plan...like buying a 7 day virtual vacation. Thanks for showing this app as it makes the concept very real
5:01 on Meta Quest we have Wander and Wooorld.
Both plop us in front of a map with tens of thousands of waypoints that we can click on to go just about anywhere in the world. From there we've usually got more connected waypoints so that we're in control of where we walk, and it's all in a full 360° view... so we can just go inside a temple or a museum and explore in whatever direction we want.
It's amazing, and I'm glad Vision Pro folks now have something similar.

Yep, the files are pretty big too so it helps to have lots of storage space. Its good to see more immersive apps though, Apple needs to hurry up and put out more of their own content

Great video. At launch the potential for a breakout “virtual tours” app was there! Whether it was by the individual landmark like “Buckingham Palace”, “the Space Station” or realtors putting up completely mapped virtual properties or exotic locations like Mt Everest, they would be winners. There are thousands of businesses who could sell their 3D tours app. As far as Apple, I always thought their own gorgeous Apple TV screensavers would become immersive environments quickly. Imagine being able to virtually navigate some of those!
Yeah I used the app, it’s pretty good, quality is not as good as Apple immersive ones but still alright.
They need to release AVP in uk 🇬🇧.. but this is awesome!

For explore pov I don't know why more people are not talking about how shaky and jittery the screen is. It is the first app that I have tried that made me this dizzy. Also, the very middle of the screen gets really blurry at times which also gets annoying. They need to smooth these horrendous issues out then I'll 100% change what I think of this app. As for now, I literally cannot use it anymore due to such horrible shaking and jittering of the screen. 😩
I personally have not experienced any shaking or jitters while im watching the footage inside of the the Vision Pro
It only seems to be that way when outputting a screen recording
