Who else saw the theory that turbo used a real king candy as a basis for his code modification since there was already some evidence that one existed as a npc
I think one of the best parts of this is his takeover of Sugar Rush shows he learned from Roadblasters, he knew he couldn't just pop into a new game and let it be that, he had to be craftier if he didn't want to lose again.
Before the trope became overused and no longer being actually interesting, he is easily the best for being considerably original at the time and also actually interesting.
As to the scene where King Candy/Turbo was talking to Ralph, before the betrayal. It wasn't all malnipulation's. There's some true in there. If the gamer's didn't take well to her glitching then it could've gotten the plug pulled for Sugar Rush.
I love how we actually have hints of his true identity since the moment we lay eyes on King Candy, or at least after hearing the legend 1. Very similar voice between turbo's flashback lines and King Candy's voice 2. His design doesn't fit in with the other racers. He looks like he belongs in a different game. Like, his character model. He has a balloon shaped head, skinny legs, feet that aren't the same shape as elephant feet, much too large hands, and small eyes. He isn't styled like sugar rush characters, he's a reskinned Turbo 3. Racing game. But these hints are subtle enough to where the twist is still shocking because you just don't think about that until after you already know.
Plus, he immediately recognized Ralph when Sour Bill took off his taffy mask, hinting that he may have been in the arcade for a long time. Of course, we assume that he keeps tabs on things because he's the ruler of Sugar Rush, which makes his reveal as another decades-old arcade game character more satisfying.
I think him being able to access the code is important. He learned from his last mistake when he put his game and the other game out of order, and almost killed himself too. He probably attempted unsuccessfully to take over other games, or at least insert himself, and probably learned how to manipulate the code by the time SR rolled around and he could take it over. But to make sure he could interact with the word without breaking it, and he wouldn't stick out, he added his own code to the game and reskinned himself.
Honestly, I think he is a perfect villian, from how they set up the idea of going turbo from the start, and it seems even HE is against it, and it’s one of those villians, that if you rewatch the movie, you can tell how it was set up so perfect. it’s not somebody who becomes the villian for no reason, there’s that strange aura around him.
I almost believed King Candy’s lie about why Vanellope couldn’t race, the only reason I wouldn’t believe was bc plot armor and all. This movie is goated and of course modern Disney had to commit the atrocities of Ralph Breaks the Internet, we should all pretend that movie never existed
What‘s interesting is that Turbo is an actual forgotten video game character in real life, so they turned a real video game protagonist into a villain in this movie.
There’s surprisingly little videos covering him - GREAT analysis!! Especially with the way Ralph and Turbo compliment eachother as characters oooghh… (Also ralph breaks the internet slander ❤)
Turbo wants to replace the best right and maybe he modified the code of a king candy npc as the basis for his disquise like a modder changing the code of the game to use one persons code and just swapping it for another model he probably couldn't make a new model for his body only took anothers that looked like his then making sure he isn't on any way connected to the original character he Overridden

I want to recommend a video about the villians from Jedi survivor. I won’t spoil it with names but there are 3 main villains ( one very famous guest villain) and ALL would make interesting videos.
In your first Villain Review 🦹♂️ you said that you review villains 🦹 from film 🎦, TV 📺, video games 🎮 and comics Have you ever reviewed a villain 🦹♀️ just based on their comics?
I like him because while the whole self centered ego motivation makes sense-- his role as a racecar driver feels like he never really fit into it in the first place-- it feels doubly weird and wrong. In fact, it feels like they should be switched, with the race driver being the actual disguise. Also, one hundred percent "Wenchel and Duncan" were originally meant to be the other two drivers from his game. The movie never addresses it, I don't think anybody's actually SAID it-- but it makes perfect sense and FEELS right.
I know Tywin won the poll but a villain like him takes a while because there’s a lot to cover. Will try to get to him next week. Thanks!

One of the few times a Disney film has done a twist villain properly in my opinion
Wasn't a twist villain, we knew King Candy was the villain of the movie, it's the twist of him being Turbo
As to the scene where King Candy/Turbo was talking to Ralph, before the betrayal.
It wasn't all malnipulation's. There's some true in there.

Yeah that’s true but the whole thing behind it was manipulating in the sense he was lying about his intentions and why he didn’t want her to cross

Yup, he twisted it for his own purposes.

He's the only Disney twist villain that had a surprising twist

He isn't a twist villain, but a villain with a twist. We knew he was the villain well before the reveal.

I agree he's the best villain!!! Also this part at 5:38 made me laugh 😂
What‘s interesting is that Turbo is an actual forgotten video game character in real life, so they turned a real video game protagonist into a villain in this movie.
Care to elaborate?
Wow that is beyond sad
There’s surprisingly little videos covering him - GREAT analysis!! Especially with the way Ralph and Turbo compliment eachother as characters oooghh… (Also ralph breaks the internet slander ❤)
Oh if only we knew a certain bird would make the biggest craziest turbo analysis……. I wonder if he’s still himself?
Yo you know why the Second film Sucked because there was no terbo are terbo like villains... they should of made a cult leader for terbo
KC may have been the "twist villian" in this movie but he stood out more then Bellwether in Zootopia. (Not that either wasn't obvious)
Back off Hans, back off Yokai, and back off Bellweather, King Candy is our Disney villain we appreciate.
He is so extreme underrated :-(
I think he is much better as Scar or Gaston.
I agree, super underrated
I’d like to see you do Emperor Belos from The Owl House someday.
5:39 Imagine him actually saying that 😂
Would have been a fire line
@Jay Films, by way, when did you stop including Evil Deeds as its own section?
