- Day 3 is where I share a little bit about my faith. Nothing in depth or anything, just the fact that I am a believer in Jesus. My faith is a part of my life that is important and I thought maybe by now you might want to know that about me.
It's an honor and privilege to be with the woman in this WOW Group (Woman of the Word) Many are more mature in age and their faith and I get to benefit from their wisdom and love.
The music on this video is directly from my Bible Study Group. I love how they sing old hymns.
Those ladies must have so many stories to tell! If we have all of our knowledge and experience to share in our 50s, just imagine what they could tell us! Just beautiful.
Yeah, that is a great insight. They lived in the 1950s in their late teens or even some as adults if they are in their 90s! SO cool.
I sit in awe listening to them. I ask questions and all the things. I went to visit one of the gals over the summer a couple times because she had knee surgery and she showed me all her antiques and the quilt one of her family members made during the depression when they made them out of old flour sacks and an old music box and I listen to so many amazing stories. It feels like an honor to be in their presence.
It is so amazing. We lost Gladys of the summer and that made me sad. She lived such a long and beautiful life. She was 93 I think.
I love the idea of spending time with older women. What a lovely morning.
Here’s what I think we don’t have to believe the same things, it’s all just love. Love you.

I am not a religious person, but that doesn't mean I can't respect others beliefs.

I do love the wisdom they have to offer and they are all so gracious and kind. It’s like I can be myself without having to be a certain way if that makes sense?
Sometimes around woman my age I feel like everyone is competing. Not everyone my age but a good amount.
The pictures did come out nice. I was glad I did it after it was done.

I actually cried listening to these ladies singing. It flooded me with memories going to church and hearing my mom sing and the songs. My mom had a beautiful singing voice, but I do not lol. My dad had a nice voice too, but my mom told me dad "If you could just sing on key, Joe." 😇😅
@@mollieanne mollie I’m laughing over here because my singing voice is also not so good. I love sitting in song with these ladies. I’ve recorded a few just to I can keep them. It’s so old fashioned the way they sing and I think it’s why it feels so good.
@@Lifeinthewyldewest Funny I never thought of recording my mom singing. I think I thought she would never leave me. I know silly to have thought that. But the idea of her not being here was too devastating to even want to think about. Now she has been gone for almost 7 years. In all honesty for me it does not get easier missing her, but I have learned to adapt. Also, if I recorded her singing I doubt I would had been able to listen. I think it would had been way too hard.
I'm sorry you have had this tremendous loss. I get paralyzed when I think of losing our parents. I don't want to think about it either however as I'm also getting older I do make a point to spend more time with them.
@@Lifeinthewyldewest It is very hard. They say the deeper the love for someone the loss is just as deep. This is so true for me. This is why we need good friends and family for comfort.
yes when we love deeply we grieve deeply but it's worth it. It really is.

one Christmas/ midnight mass at a Catholic Church near Santa Rosa
..being lifted up (by Spirit 😇) , dragged out of my slumber (in the pew),
to “eat the body and drink the blood”-
I didn’t know what was happening! 🤨
- oh my, my hosts were furious!!! 😡
I was staying in their home-- (I was on a permaculture / village bus tour- we stayed there after the tour)..
I grew up Jewish,
They warned me not to do it 💯,
But I didn’t have control of my body,
This played out some stuff in that house 😳

As a woman of faith myself, I'm so happy you decided to talk about this. This year, I started a podcast which is Bible in a year. I wanted to make it a daily part of my faith and I always try to listen first thing in the morning. And love the music.
Oh Joann this is so beautiful how you start your days in the Bible, listening to a podcast makes it so doable. What a great way to begin your day. I know personally I'm not sure I could make it through my days without my faith. Knowing God is responsible for all the blessing that come into my day. We truly are sisters.

Tracie, I used to give talks to many church organizations. I found what they had in common was an aging congregation. There weren't younger people there. I'm not sure how youth will come back to the churches, but the decline to this institution became evident to me. It saddens me. Good day 3 Tracie, you have a wonderful heart.

I'm glad you made this video because I thought about the same thing. The more I share about myself the more the chances that people don't resonate with certain parts of me. But I'm so over this people pleasing attitude and trying to be liked by everyone. I just want to be myself out loud and not hold back because of fear of not being liked. So thank you very much for sharing honestly this important part of your life.
I didn't grow up religiously but I respect your faith, and to be honest Jesus WAS a cool guy, you're right. I like all the values that he lived as far as I know about them. And I understand how being spiritual and having a weekly bible study could be very meaningful and important. I'm looking forward to learning more about you over the next few weeks! ♥
@@thewildcherryfarm I like what you say about being over pleasing others. I believe the more we are authentically our selves the better we will feel. Our people will come and they will truly love and accept us for exactly who we are.
I was nervous sharing this part of me however it’s been so well received and I should have know because I feel like many of my subs truly are my people.
I watched your reflection video today and I plan on having some hot tea and spending time in reflection over that past 3 months and looking forward to the next quarter of this month! Fall! I love fall, it’s so cozy and a time to be extra grateful.

lol, loved the cat doing the downward dog 😂. We have the same faith although I’ve been losing touch over the years. I’ve been trying to get back on track with my faith especially with my son starting school at a catholic institution.
I also love that about little Ezekiel our kitty, they are so natural about working out their little bodies.
I also love that we both share a faith in Christ. I will share with you personally, I do attend a Bible study however I don't attend a church. I'm sometimes judged by other Christian's because I don't attend. However I know Christ is in my heart, I believe in him and I try my best to live by his example. I also spend time reading and studying, praying and writing letters to God. It's my personal relationship.

I was raised baptist for much of my childhood and rest as a nazerine thru very early adulthood, then I became episcopalian, traditional Anglican. Finally, i became a Roman Catholic in the more recent years. Yet, Jesus Christ remains my Lord and Savior. Very interesting fact about you as well, Mrs. West.

That’s how I feel at my WW meeting with a dozen sweet woman older then my mother and me. Plus phauxe when he is in town. All very nice and supportive
When you write WW does that mean Weight Watchers? I used to go to WW like 3 different times. I was always so quiet in those meetings I never really met anyone so I'm so happy to hear you feel the love in yours. I would compare it to that too, like extra mom's! I want to know so much more about you Krystal. I know you all go to conventions about what look like little ponies or maybe unicorns and it seems like it has a beautiful world of its own and I don't know too much about it however I love to watch you all sing along and smile when you are there. It's so lovely to be in places where we can authentically be ourselves.

I LOVE THIS!!! I start my inline Bible study tomorrow morning. I did the in person group(I was one of the youngest as well) last year and really enjoyed it.
There is not a group here in Mexico. It’s a national Bible study. Bible Study Fellowship. 😊
I knew you were also a woman of faith! It's truly been such a big part of my life for many years and I can't even begin imagine getting through some of my days without it. I was nervous to share here however it's been well received so far which I'm so glad and I should have known. Many people here are so kind and loving. I have given hints in other videos but never just plain out right said it. I hope you enjoy the on line study. I love being around the older woman so very much.

It was a beautiful lesson in faith. I often get nervous to do things because of this perfection problem I have. I said yes, I feel like was greatly blessed and I got to meet so many more beautiful, loving and kind women yesterday.

It is nice to know a bit more about you Tracie! I was just about to say I don't know of any Bible Study Groups near me and didn't know if it was even a thing in the UK! I just did a quick online search and found a community church nearby that that does Bible Study and has an open house this Saturday! I wonder if that is an omen for me to attend? I have nothing to lose by going along have I - except my ego! ☺
