This is fantastic! Much more comfortable and user-friendly than trying to sleep in the back of our Subaru Forester at rest stops back and forth on road trips! My husband is also 6 ft tall. Can't wait wai to show this to him.
Loved the set up especially in a van as small as this Ford Transit Connect. I have a cargo van of similar size that I use for my courier business, Nissan NV200. Probably the only thing I might add to that set up is maybe a solar power system with maybe a 200w panel mounted on the roof. But that is just a personal preference. Overall this is still a nice build. A camper van rental business actually sounds like a good idea.
From my boy scout days, we would tent camp into the low 20s. A good sleeping bag and 2-4 people in a small tent was just fine with no additional heater. If you didn't leave the window open a little there would be frost in the tent.
This is awesome! I have friends who love tent camping but we never go because tent camping is not something my husband and I would do. But this, I can do! And we can park right next to our friend’s tents. The only problem is, we’re in Australia😅 We need this down under!
We have a Ford Transit Connect and this is exactly the design we have been looking for! Ill definitely be reaching out for those plans and since we're in Florida, maybe adding an A/C unit!
We're thrilled to have our gal @betty_camper_van featured on NJ Outdoor Adventures! Thank you Patrick! And yes, Betty is for sale! Interested? Feel free to get in touch! Details in the video description.
Why not just do a nice air mattress…they’re not that expensive anymore and they inflate pretty quickly. Seems like it would save some much needed space.

On the West Coast, however, do you have one that 3 can drive in & or sleep in?
Not being able to use the kitchen in downpour seems like a design flaw
Not a flaw, they have the same obstacle’s as a backpacker or tent camper and they knew this going in.
Why not just do a nice air mattress…they’re not that expensive anymore and they inflate pretty quickly. Seems like it would save some much needed space.
Good idea, however, the first man started that way, and after many nights of discomfort, they decided to upgrade to a real mattress
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures yeah, I can get how it can be uncomfortable for some. I’ve never had an issue with them personally.
2012 ford transit listed at $30k on fb if anyone's interested.
It will be gone soon
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures but it's been for sale a year already.... so how soon.
Great for fair weather camping but otherwise…
anywhere? i'd say gravel road is the limit.
We’ll see
Bullshit he’s not sitting up in that bed
Why would he lie?
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures he should have showed it then since that’s the selling point
