I love my hard panniers, but not off road, unless I don't mind a broken leg. Since I do I swap over to soft luggage on trips like these. I also love my R1200gs Adventure, but not on trips like these. It can do it, but it's just far more enjoyable to take my lighter and cheaper Honda Transalp.
Just don't need 1200cc for these bike trips and all because of the long way round if they use 250 cc or 600 life would be easy four people to pick one up that's not good.looks fun 👍
Looks like an effing nightmare to me, and I own a 1290SA...I wouldn’t take it along muddy tracks like that with full panniers, maybe the 1190R, but not the 1290SA. It’s quite a capable off roader on solid gravel tracks, but when it’s wet it loses traction really easily even if you stand up and move your weight far back...it’s just too heavy and bulky
With all your experience now what would the bike of choice for this type of riding ? I want enduro tires for my 650 ninja but can't find any that wide . I made a rack for the back to carry my Mavic Pro video drone and gear works great there is a short video on my channel if anyone would like to see it (how it's made) .
These comments are hilarious, clearly written by people who have never done a major trip like this. Try to ride a 250 with all the supplies you would need for a 3 month journey.
OMG a little bit of mud and they get stuck or fall off their big big bikes. Use a 250ccm bike or even less, it's not so fancy, but they can get you through everything. Pushing their expensive machines over the bridge made me laugh. Additionally, for me, the contrast to the living conditions of people would be deeply embarrassing. :(
There is something I don't understand and maybe I'll never will! Why do you use such a heavy bike for those kind of trips? All the luggage fits on a 701 even on an exc 450! I really don't get man! They called these bikes "touring" "adventure", but it looks like you're going to give birth! Without any intention to offense! But again, I don't get it! I think those bikes are made for highway, long travel distance. But offroad, bull's shit!
These bikes can go "Off-Road" (depends on the rider) ... but not with 100kg of luggage and drivers that can't handle some steep and wet gravel roads ... don't get it either ...
Really wrong BIKE guys !!! Do you really trust that that kind of bikes are offroad trips ? You should have got a mx 600 cc bike ....monocilinder ... and not much electronic ...
I am late to this party but....if you don’’t like what you see...DON’T WATCH IT!!!! THIS WAS THEIR ADVENTURE AND THE POINT WAS TO TAKE THE BIG BIKES AND MAKE IT HAPPEN. Any one can criticize when you are not there.
Golden rule #1, weight is everything. Repeat, I will not ride a bike, twice my weight in Enduro lol you can cross the planet on a 250cc or less lol. Which you luck with those elephants in the Amazon. It's just me or they ride elephants in packs in order to pick their fell comrades lol.

😃👍👍great.
Regards from Channel Chegu Ajak Malaysia.
I love this motorbike for doing missionary for people.
0:32 It's an adventure for heavy bikes. To the locals on small bikes, just a trip back from work or to the local market.
Everybody's got $2,000 jacket suits lol.
Pure ADV..... Nice looks like a great time
What a discovery for me to come across your channel
Real off Road Riders . Salute
Already subscribed your channel..😃

amazing adventures
I like it....!!!
Crazy adventure!
Do you think that smaller, lighter bikes may have been useful on this trip?
RIGHT....I AGREE... MAYBE CRF250L OR 701ENDURO ...
Or Tiger 800, F800GSA...
new gs 310
Jon Phillips klr 650
CRF250L rally will do.
Me encanta. ese es mi sueños
nice adventure when you're in a group of 10 so if one of those big bikes gets stuck each guy needs to pull just 30 kg :)))
Wonderfull!!this is life!!
The name of the music please!?

The real goal here is to show us the evidence that these bikes don't work outside of the tarmac. LOL
Extra heavy bikes for these environmental condition. Must be lighter bikes for easy handling.

that elephant super tenere fully loaded probably over 300kg bike with hard panniers taking offroad ??? silly, really.
Robson Enduro call us masochists ;) plastic bikes are too easy
Lighter bikes are much better thank heavier bikes while touring.
maybe nice utility ATV would be a better choice.
Which is the song that comes out at 3.10?
👍
All the gear no idea hahahahaha
I just subbed, I love it, starting my own adventure channel myself a little help would be appreciated .
Are you ok ?

Those guys rode too strong and heavy motobike . In vietnam we use small motobike to across the forest easily
Duy Tran which bike it was?
So the bigger bike the batter.
Looks like that, plus 50 kilos of bullshit, that will guarantee you a hell of a adventure :)
i love my wr250r
BWM is shit... Yamaha and Honda ♦
Maybe next time go with lighter bikes that don't weigh 600lbs.
1200cc! ????????????
Really wrong BIKE guys !!! Do you really trust that that kind of bikes are offroad trips ? You should have got a mx 600 cc bike ....monocilinder ... and not much electronic ...
To many German " besserwisser" for me.
LOL
150 cc is enough

Waste money for such an expensive bike....use the lighter one, brother...park big bike in your garage...
Better smaller bike.
These bikes aren't for adventure at all, too big.
Yes, they spend more time pushing and pulling than riding.
that bike is not suitable for that kind of trip.
The gators are kinda useless
Looks like some of you are very inexperienced
Is bad
