With James Gunn's Superman teaser trailer out, I thought it would be nice to go over some iconic DC moments/characters that have yet to grace the silver screen. This includes the Crime Syndicate, the Lantern corps, Jason Todd, and more.
So, Merry Christmas? It's wild I'm actually working on this during Christmas Eve. Even though a lot of UA-camrs typically take a break during this period, I know that many people aren't that busy and are sitting at home bored. I might take a break in late January but we'll see. For now, enjoy time with your loved ones.

Geoff John’s run of green lantern is phenomenal. I also hope they do the blackest night event, then do the brightest day one after
Agreed. I absolutely LOVE his Green Lantern run as it really was groundbreaking for the characters lore and world building giving us some of the best DC comics. I desperately hope they adapt those comics in the DCU, even if we are getting an older Hal Jordan which is a bit concerning, but I'll give it a chance since I love Green Lantern.
I even wrote my own pitches for a 6 films for a GL film saga and adapt Blackest Night as a two part epic conclusion with some of my own plot ideas, castings and even my own sketch designs.
i was about to write this. The Johns run and especially Blackest Night is my favorite comic book run ever. I hope James realizes its potential.

A live action Crime Syndicate sounds absolutely amazing. I feel like a story like that would be best reserved for maybe chapter 3 of the DCU or something, as long as it's been built up to that point. Also Jason Todd's death would be cool to see done PROPERLY in live action. If it is gonna be in the DCU though, it'll likely be through a flashback or something.
How can they do Jason Todd's death, when they have not done his LIFE yet ? They are going to have to make Robin a regular character in probably 2 Batman live action movies, before such a storyline would even make sense.

The DCEU would actually be a good crime syndicate. Henry's Superman and Ben's Batman would work as Ultraman and Owlman in my opinion

Stake-flation(using that term btw) is the exact reason the spiderman movies from the mcu feel so fresh and even the deadpool movies do. The stakes are usually super small but just important to the main character and so it becomes important to the viewer. I remember when the pinicle of what a villain would do is make a hero choose between the lover and like 50 school children or old people or something. I literally have not seen a villain do this since green goblin, and his ass tried to kill peters girlfriend like 50 times
Obviously deadpool 3 has pretty high stakes like this. But the first? Literally just a relationship and a sexy face were at stake. Second? Maybe a terrible future, but deadpool only cared about saving ONE kid, it was cable who was the one who cared about the higher stakes.
I honestly just want good flash representation that’s all I’m asking
I mean personal issues aside I think Ezra did a good job and his scenes with his mother were really great.

5:49 I swear the Emotional Spectrum of Lantern Corps have so much cinematic potential to become *DC's Star Wars* as there is so much world building and sci fi storytelling that could be very powerful and relatable like talking about the validity of our emotions, the importance of embracing our feelings, overcoming our fear in healthy ways, the complexities and beauty of life and death etc....
Even though it seems like they're going in a different direction with an older Hal Jordan in the DCU (which Im a bit concerned about), I do desperately hope we see them explore the Lantern Corps since there is such potential ti make a saga of GL movies in the DCU on the scale of Star Wars or Star Trek. In fact Ive even written my own GL saga film scripts that adapts the Geoff Johns Green Lantern run and ending with a two part adaptation of Blackest Night with some of my own ideas, castings and sketches Ive made and hopefully someday I hope to share my film pitches on UA-cam.
I think of them like the X-men, where there’s so much cool lore and characters they could have their own entire standalone universe, really a shame we haven’t seen more lanterns
They need to decide on the lantern's live action powers first, before trying to do something so large. One of the unmentioned flaws in the Ryan Reynolds GL film was having him fly around in his magic jet fighter. If he can make force projections of such complexity, it really doesn't make sense to use the simpler ones. Also, the force slide was dumb as hell, and someone should have thought of something else when they were storyboarding it.
Im surprised that dc hasnt given us the condimint king in live action

It would be funny if they put him in the Suicide Squad as a death sentence, but he ends up being the only survivor of his team instead.
I want to see a proper wally west flash in live action
Since we'll have Damian as Robin, this means this is a universe where people have already been heroes for decades. I would imagine Wally has already gone through his time as Kid Flash and become the Flash by this point. In other words, we're very likely going to have Wally as our main Flash!
A DC Cinematic Universe where the Thanos equivalent is The Crime Syndicate would be peak. Kicking off the universe with a story about prime classic Justice League, then having the legacy characters slowly grow and replace them, only for the Crime Syndicate to show up, and force both the OGs and the legacy heroes to team up would be awesome.
And therefore with a multiverse story they could have part 1 kill off characters like Barry Allen and Batman, then can have Wally and the Batfam bring in variants like Grant Gustin or Robert Pattinson
But also I'm kinda glad the DCU is going in a completely different direction because that idea costs way too much money for WB to set up and pay off to actually be followed through with
if RDJ is going to be Dr. Doom, Henry Cavill as Ultraman doesn't sound so absurd

@@andaelee James Gunn knows what we all truly want, which is why he’s read every comic book he could get his hands on for inspiration for his Superman film.
Pretty sure he’s read all about DC’s The Terrific’s too, so that shows he actually cares about the stories and characters. Can’t say the same for the Synderverse, that was edge lord central and angsty teen drama. That ain’t Supes to me to be honest.

Batman die and then superman and lois has a baby who will become batman. He did change it after that but the fact that he even came up with that shit is concerning

If Snyder wanted his Supes to have a different endgame love interest, he could’ve just paired Supes with Wonder Woman instead. Since, different variations were paired with different women over the years, cause multiverse logic and so on.

Actually, Crime Syndicate IS a a pretty neat idea, they could have members not introduced yet into the main universe and have actors that potentially could've been a role finally been said role. It's also actually not that explored in cinema either!

You’re in luck, I’m working on a dc film universe starting with a death in the family
I've been a Shazam fan since young and Im 53, the movies were a huge let down. Levi's childish take on the character was too anoying for me to watch it in the cinema. Saw it at home and could not watch them at 1 go, needed to take breaks. Warner really killed the DC movies.

However striking you may think that scene looks, the story didn’t give the moment the impact it should have, which you can say for the majority of that titans show. I’m genuinely surprised to find someone in the comments defending it.
