With the hi lift and the bracket what are you using to secure the hi lift to the bracket ? And do you have a part #? I can see the shovel us using quick fists. Great video thenk you.
+Greg McQuaid No, I was able to drop the roof liner enough by removing the sun visors and A pillar cover enough to get my hand in there and route the wires where they needed to go.
Yes mostly the ax and the shovel I do a fair bit of camping and use the ax for fire wood and the shovel to clean up the camp or to get water running away from my tent if it is raining.
I wired my lights through the outside of A-Pillar but I really want to attempt to do the install through the inside of the roof rack and through the roof. My only concern is obviously leaks. What did you use to seal the hole that you ran the wires through?
Brian Morejon I used a automotive grommet and exterior clear silicone. I put a gob on the wires and then pulled them in to the cab and worked it back and fourth adding more dabs as I thought necessary. The foot pad has a good gasket so it would probably not leak anyways.
Why did you put the switches in the tray when you have two perfectly useless dead buttons you could have inserted rocker switches into with no modification?
Free @znovosad555 the lights were free and I can always switch the bulbs at any time ... h3 convert to LED with no issues ... also dual bulbs ... two lights 4 bulbs 2 in reverse and 2 when I want to throw a switch ... It is nice to have good light when setting up camp or trying to get someone unstuck with out being in reverse with the parking brake on ... dangerous situation.
+znovosad555 I have ARB bumpers front and back, 6" Rough Country lift, Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ tires, I have replaced all 4 of my shocks, Cobra Drive HD CDR 840 dash cam, Cobra 29 NW LTD Classic CB Radio, 4' Fire stick, Kenwood TK-726 VHF Transceiver, Springtail back door rack, Springtail back seat cargo divider, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, 2 Hella 3000 roof mounted lights, 2 Pro Comp 130 roof mounted lights, 2 Pro Comp HID front bumper mounted lights, cigarette lighter style power point in rear cargo, custom power point in front console (you can see the power points in this video at 12:09), pioneer tools on roof, 4' jack on roof, rear diff breather re-locate to gas cap door area, Hella back up lights on roof (obviously) and I have a RAM mount for my Garmin GPS mounted on my CB bracket. I think that covers it but I probably forgot some things.
Smart move, they are a little expensive to get into but they hold their value like no other ... when you go to sell it you will get most of your money back that you paid for it, some people are getting more than they paid for them when they trade in.
was there an existing hole or did you have to drill through the roof, to get wire down the pillar?
I drilled a hole under the roof rack pad on the driver's side. Then I used a grommet and silicon to seal it

Hello Desert Trance, I used the same bracket for the jack that I used to mount the light www.summitracing.com/int/parts/aaf-all14187
@@BRBTechTalk Thank you for the reply but what are you using to attach the hi lift to that mount?
Barry, did you have to remove roof lining to get wires from coming out of roofrack "foot" to get it into the A pillar?
+Greg McQuaid No, I was able to drop the roof liner enough by removing the sun visors and A pillar cover enough to get my hand in there and route the wires where they needed to go.
Makes sense, did you get them yet?
No, my engine went on it and I have to get that fixed first.
Ouch that sucks.
hAve yo uever used the highlift ax or shovel?

Bryan Pietras I want to save those dead buttons for my air lockers.
Why halogen? Led would've been much brighter and less amperage draw

+Barry R. Brown yeah that's true. What other things have you added to your FJ?

+Barry R. Brown holy crap. A lot of time and money put in then. Next vehicle I'm getting is an FJ. Now I'm starting to regret getting my f150
