As a professional dancer that’s been in more cyphers than I’d care to admit, this is incredible. GENUINELY incredible. It’s not just the musicality - anyone can hit beats with movements - it’s HOW he did it. He REALLY sat in the pocket and let the movement breathe. It wasn’t just hit into another hit. This is masterful completion and execution of hip-hop fundamentals. You can see the popping, locking, house, etc foundations blend perfectly through his movement. Not just that, but his freestyle has PERSONALITY. He’s not dancing TO the song, he’s dancing WITH it. He's fucking amazing.

I’ve seen this SOOO many times but I always have to stop and watch it. He totally deserved the win that last year and I learnt about that comp bc of him!!! His dancing was just iconic and off the charts. He literally felt it in his soul and you could see it. His passion just exuberated out of him and you can’t help but smile and even want to dance with him 😁
This is how I dance in my mind 😂 I felt him. He was in pure flow state. So original what if we could approach life with this approach! No more depression, anxiety no more DRAMA we’d be laughing and dancing our problems away! I feel happy just watching him ❤
Flow state is a beautiful place to exist for the short time it lasts. Would be an amazing breakthrough if we could learn to access it freely at all times. As a boxer/mma fighter, it is truly a totally different feeling when you hit flow state in a fight. You feel like you’re styling on a mannequin while you’re impossible for them to hit cleanly or even guess your next attack. The central nervous system is a marvel that is MANY decades from even being understood, let alone unlocked.

It took me 2 days to realize the complete genius of this performance. His body was completely in sync with the beat and the brakes and the song. I love how in this clip he took the audience on a journey. His choreography had a gradual buildup and the crowd was completely engaged in his performance. He had them in the palm of his hand LOL

This is what you call loving what you have a gift to do. He doesn't dance to the music, the music moves with him. Nothing but pure joy in him when he dances. All I can say is that he gave his all and it paid off in the end!

I have seen this so many times and each time it comes up, I have to watch it a few more times. Brilliant moves. This 70 year old who took dance for 9 years, is truly impressed!
His routine was so meticulous and his commitment so utterly complete, he couldn't lose. He owned the song, he played the crowd, and when the song transitioned from is opening percussion into the song's full musical theme, that audience was reacting to him. It was a thing of great beauty.
I see rehearsed moves of James Brown, and many others that are not executed that great but I guess for this generation this is great. He isn't connected with the music while dancing but he is in sync and energetic.
Let me get this straight I'm not a big fan of dancing I'm a metalhead , but after watching this 20 times. This is the most badass single choreographed dance(if it was all freestyle I'm blown away) I've ever seen. wow wow wow. Obviously the whole world think so look at the faces of his peers, mouths are open, hands on their faces like Macaulay Culkin , and smiles on all, fist raising . Let me get this straight I'm not a big fan of dancing I'm a metalhead , but after watching this 20 times. This is the most badass single choreographed dance(if it was all freestyle I'm blown away) I've ever seen. wow wow wow. Obviously the whole world think so look at the faces of his peers, mouths are open, hands on their faces like Macaulay Culkin , and smiles on all, fist raising . @@AB-nb2ic you won’t understand because you are just thinking he’s only dancing but you gotta pay attention to the beats that he’s hitting lol he just nailed 8 different beats in a few moves it’s why it’s called musicality. Simple moves but very difficult to hit on time with each beats going over the other. Only one I can think can hit that many notes are the Les twins and waydi
