i played on a private server a couple years ago, augoeides also known as hidden project. the staff on that server were better than ae by 10 miles, we had new classes and cool items all the time, the farms actually felt worth it, there was even a marketboard for players to trade. the animations for everything was better than anything ae has ever accomplished. they even had a membership and all that good stuff & a lot of people subbed because it was actually worth something & the game was good. When it was around it actually had more players than aqw, the server was actually alive, people would chat all day and night and party up to do stuff, we were rarely afk, even in yulgar people werent afk all day, we even had world chat. we had a whole community on facebook where the staff actually listened & updated us. i truly wish it was still around, it was a better aqw than the actually aqw in every way possible.
I recently saw a video about Augoeides, I recently started playing AQW but it feels more like a second job than an actual game. Would you recommend this private server NOW to everyone else who played AQW, beginners and veterans alike?

Considering their Frostval ACs gifting yearly events they get a ton of free $ for such a low quality and effort game, free $ comparable to a full fledged AAA tittles. What the f have they been doing with the milked $ ? What about hire more staff for your games than buying mansions and over working tbe already existing ones. These people are despicable, I feel sorry for the playerbase for funding this shtshow of a dev team
Maybe if they stop splitting their attention across multiple games and NEW games and stopped chasing weekly releases to instead focus on actual innovation and development, they’d get somewhere. Instead, we’re left with half-baked products that require our imagination to fill it in. Don’t even get me started on the failure that is aq3d and how dry the enemy combat and ai is. This company, while working hard for years, hardly ever actually works or gets anything done. I KNOW they don’t make a ton of money and can barely be considered a real studio, but they’re clearly shoveling whatever pennies they get into a furnace
On one side, remaking the game and porting everything from flash to unity (correct me here) would take a lot of time. This is not only because they are just porting all items and class but also recoding combat mechanics for every class, +9000 quests and their corresponding cutscene and map linkages, art changes/improvements, etc. That's a whole ton load of work. If optimistic, I would expect something like a minimum of 5 to 10 years. Otherwise, the only way I see them making this possible in less than 5 years is to release a stable game and slowly import the rest of the content every monthly update. All in all, Ricochet wins that 2 year bet. The coming testplay for 15th Year Founders is no way counted.
At this point, I just wish someone would make a private server with more interactive gameplay (like parrying, blocking, and set area effects) like the demo.
They just need to make the chaos saga part and release it, they dont need to convert the whole aqw to aqi for release. Just release until chaos saga and make the community part of the development. Hell even they can follow the osrs path and use that goddamn poll function to whats the community wants first!
honestly before going for mobile and stuff, i wish they would fix the lag issues that came from flash version. I'ts so mind boggling to see this game lag the everliving shit out, down to 2-5 fps on a pc that can run most of the latest games on medium setting at a comfortable 60fps. because what would be the point of it going to mobile but retaining that extreme framedives. I want AQW at a stable 60fps, or at the very least stable 30fps. E: point is, i don't care about the visual touch-up's, honestly those could easily wait. I want to experience a stable 30-60fps first. That is the main thing, everything else comes after.

I'm happy that they didn't over-promise a release date like cyberpunk did, I don't think you know what you are asking for. They need enough time and space to do it correctly so it's not rushed and I'd rather have a complete product in 5 years than an unfinished one in 6 months.
