I was able to reach top 30 irelia at season 6, she is absolutely flexible, but i'm not really a fan of irelia jg. I mean yes she can be used at jg, but there's a lot more better unit to pick for jg post and more efficient imo.
Also landing her s3 is really crucial before you trade, at lower elo you can get away and not get punished really bad if you miss s3, but at higher elo (master and above), you better to back off once s3 missed. And dont forget to leave 1 or 2 minions behind to get out quickly if you decide to trade.
For people who want to try her, i suggest drag your s3 under enemy and just tap, it's easier to land it. After that you can step it up by drag your s3 manualy (which is crucial in a teamfight).
On another note, use her s2 wisely, tht dmg reduce is really a lifesaver (for some reasons, i see many people just tap it, or not even using it...)

nothing wierd with his layout actually, as a wukong main i do have this setup as well since you only need to spam 1st and 3rd.. you will find this a bit convinient if you main a champ

You can't move using irellilia second ability you could do the same thing with new asol second ability to avoid moving at the same time
