This will be an informative and useful series of videos, but especially for me since I have a similar machine-158.1941.2. I love my "Kenmie". Mine is a super hi-shank which has its own drawbacks. I will be waiting for part 2, and additional videos about this machine. Good luck getting those parts moving freely again. Thank you for your willingness to share your knowledge and for being such an awesome instructor. Jojo Mitcham

So, I think I got it: I don't want to damage the knobs. ;)
I deeply appreciate your teaching. Thank you.

I have worked on a lot of frozen and rusted machinery. Once you get some, movement, anything at all, you are usually going to succeed. Movement means the parts and not seized together anymore. and movement means the penetrant now has a place to flow and do its work.

Do you have a video to take off that silver handwheel? I am restoring a 158.1815 and so far I only have 2 problems, getting that handwheel off and with the dogs up the dogs arm is hitting the bottom of the bed making it very noisy, With the dogs down it makes a semi loud tapping sound kinda like a normal dogs up on my other Kenmore 158.1345. Also once other thing is when you turn the bottom stitch knob off the red dot if feels like something is hitting the knob from the inside. Like this one in the video mine was locked up tight and I am down to those 3 things then it will all be freed up and running again. Thank you for all your hard work and great details as you go. You go at just the right speed so we can follow along with you

Would Break Clean be a better cleaning product. If you would tilt the machine so the liquid runs out of the machine.

I have the kenmore ultra stitch 8 158.1345380, it has some issues that I can’t figure out. Would you or anyone in the comment know where to find a manual for it? Thanks in advance
