So this is a product for players who are called Whales. Those who love the game (whichever you please, Transformers in this case and with the case of this product) and are willing to spend a lot of their money on it. I didn't know that Slipstream and Cliffjumper (got a soft spot in my heart for that old ars* kicker!) were that expensive. Put that all together, and it's most definitely worth the price, considering everything your getting. If I had enough to drop on it I'd get it, just for the chance at a Cosmos on the side, but most everything is great as the main part of what a good package it is. A lot of Wave 1 cards are just staple cards that one 'needs' in their decks, so yeah I totally get this.

Part of the issue for me is that it doesn't come with All-Out Attack and Tanderm Targeting system. That definitely put a dampener on the reveal. I don't mind the price and even the boosters which I will try very hard to resell, but something tells me either they SOL us on the two battlecards or put them in Wave2 Energon Edition...
While this is a great idea I feel like more people would be on board if it were like $50-$75 and ONLY the exclusive cards/die and pretty box. Pretty sure no one will want the boosters (especially since you get premium versions of the two best cards in the set already)
I think I will pass mostly because the character cards are plastic, which will make them harder to use with my other cards, if they weren't on plastic I'd be far more tempted. If I buy something like this it would be with the intention to use it, not display it. Would also prefer if the character card layout was normal, unless they plan on changing it for future editions, just because it would look weird to me if I did end up using there where I'd have to look to different places on the cards depending on what characters I play. Also not thrilled with the art personally, they look okay, but there are a number of Transformers artists I like a lot more. Definitely not the worst I've seen in the TCG, but also not the best. I guess the 30 boosters are nice, but last time I got a Wave 1 box, aside from a couple nice Battle Cards, I got maybe 3 character cards that weren't duplicates of things I already had, which kind of made me decide to not get Wave 1 stuff anymore. The 6 sided dice are okay, but I actually like my dice more, as I bought some that to me look more like Energon than these do (I had also had the idea it would be neat to get 6 sided dice that looked like Energon as damage counters), since I went from the images that showed Energon to be more pink/purple in color. If you do a Google search for "Transparent Orchid and White 6 Sided Dice", the first image that comes up are the dice I got, which I think look better than the ones in this box to represent Energon, unless you want your Energon to be blue I guess.
Wow... $200. I would LOVE this... but since I have no one to play the game with...and have to save my ebay money... I dunno. The dice, the Package heck it all looks good really. Wish it was about $50 or so cheaper
For me, I nearly have all of Wave 1 finished. So buying this for me is literally paying 200$ for alt art cards I already have and Slipstream/Cliffjumper. I think this set is great for new players but not for people like me.
I love this idea and the set. If I can somehow come up with an extra $200, I am getting it! On the flip side...I would have rather seen the counters flat...with damage numbers 1,3,5, and 10. I get the reason and Idea of these damage counters (energon cube feel to them)....but I can't stand dice as damage counters in any card game. Too easy to knock over/roll over/ turn over..and now no one knows what the damage was from before.
My thoughts on the matter is it kind of wish they would have included the other waves in there instead of just wave 1 Not sure what kind of balance of packs for each waves
I am very hyped for this! I will be saving up some money to drop on getting a set. I do wish the Battlecards from SDCC were in here but even so I really really like this!

Yea at first I went yikes at the price but when you think about it yes slip and clif cost the same as the box roughly but that aside.... wave 1 cards are high value, I would never go and buy another wave 1 box by itself even though I’d like more PTT or Security. This box gives me that and even two cool boxes to store cards. The dice, the amazing box art, foil battle cards that see play, insanely cool transformers that also see a good chunk of play so I think it’s highly reasonable and maybe a little more warning for people to budget it in would’ve been nice but that’s really my only complaint about it! Can’t wait to hunt one down!
ive got a lot of old MtG cards to shift so this feels the perfect time to do so. gonna try and budget in for 2 of these. then maybe a w1 draft with the boosters ?
Looks interesting, but expensive. In magic I've keept from this kind of products, but it's tempting for transformers. I'm a little saddened that the cube and dice are not purple like the cubes soundwave made back in wave 1, but they do look decent, would have been nice with a transformers referance on the dice somewhere in case you want to use it outside of the game.
You’re videos rock! It really sucks what the admins of the Facebook group are doing. They have been squashing my sealed videos and it is a shame that they have any sway over the group

Wreck 'n Rule it wasnt, I was then told by an admin that all sealed discussion videos would be relegated to the pack pulls thread. It doesn’t matter, the way it was handled killed the joy of making content for me

Have to disagree a little bit. It is definitely over priced. I'm from UK as well as you Wossy but booster boxes in America are what... Just under $100? So then 6 plastic cards, some foil battle cards and essentially some dice are the other $100? Not a chance. The other issue is that they are literally selling us a solution for an issue they created. They decided to print cards that were unobtainable for the vast majority of players in comic con packs. We complain and ask for reprints, this is their response...... To lock them behind a $200 pay wall. Yep sure makes them "easier to get" lol. Don't get me wrong the set is cool but not at that price in this situation. In my humble opinion they should produce 1 reprint set or "best of" set after every 4 main sets. At the same time, they should NEVER print anything for any comic con unless its an alternative art version of something you can readily get hold of. For example, instead of the cliffjumper and slipstream they could have done an alt art gold foil version of nemesis or something. Would still be worth money but doesn't take the card away from the players. As I said, should be like this, wave 1-4 are released. Then they release a best of waves 1-4 set which would be a mix of cards from all 4 sets that preceeded it. Battle cards and characters. Think of it like a yugioh gold series. It would allow people who can't keep up with the competitive game to eventually own a version of the card. Hopefully when the initial hype is gone but when the cards are still somewhat relevant. Also one last point. If they go down the rumoured set rotation route instead of a ban list route, this set becomes largely useless except for collection purposes. Just my thoughts.

I would prefer a God box with the same cards included at $100.00 price point.
I did the math on this set to get all the singles off the secondary market like TCGplayer it would be over $300

Nobody is questioning the quality of the product. It is a beautiful
product, but nobody asked for 90% of it.

I legit just bought this Megatron and Bumblebee. Hopefully regular Cliffjumper and Slipstream go significantly down.
