Check the roots of the anthurium for signs of rot. Healthy roots should be firm. If you notice mushy, brown, or black roots, they are likely affected by root rot. Disinfect your trimming or pruning tool before making any cut, trim away any roots that appear mushy, brown, or black. Cut back to healthy tissue, ensuring there are no signs of rot remaining.
Now spray the roots with 3% hydrogen peroxide to stop the expansion of the rotting in the roots.
Choose a clean pot with good drainage holes. Fill the bottom with fresh potting mix designed for indoor plants. Place the anthurium in the pot, spreading out its roots, and fill in with more potting mix around the plant.
Spray some water in the pot but don't oversaturate it. because it's already having issue with overwatering.Place the plant in a bright spot and water less often.
Overwatering is often the cause of root rot. Ensure the plant is not sitting in water and allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again. Keep a close eye on your anthurium for any signs of stress or further root rot. Adjust your watering and care routine as needed to promote recovery.
