I Recreated The Batman Using Miniatures
Вставка

- With The Penguin coming out, I thought it was time to recreate another shot from The Batman... but this time something much more challenging! Using fires, miniatures, and compositing, we recreated this shot from The Batman on a budget.
Shot on BMCC 6K and BMPCC 4K | Color Graded in DaVinci Resolve: www.blackmagic...
Lit with amaran/Aputure Lighting: amarancreators...
Music from Artlist:
artlist.io/art...
Movies Stills from Shotdeck:
shotdeck.com/w...
I couldn't do these videos without my team:
Anna Peerbolt: Miniature & Costume
Ethan Gough & Paul Koning: BTS
Andrew Samuelson: PA
Jacobb Leyva: PA
Connor Harrington: PA
Allie Baker: Wife/PA
This is incredible! The fact that I couldn't even tell which one was the original at the end for a second is mind blowing! Great job as always man!
They are so close to being identical. And yet. These guys added just a little more detail to small things. Which makes their shot of this scene the best in my perspective.
The original is of course the creditor for being the original shot. But dang it if that wasnt a good reshoot from people outside the original crew.
@@gargoyled_drake I mean, the original has the creativity of coming up with the shot, the lightning, etc. It's a lot easier to make a cover of a song that compose the song; but this is as good as covers get, top notch.
You cant even tell what you ate 2 days ago.
@@ghfsd786fa That's what i said ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Pretty sure you’re just blind
I’d like to think that William’s office wasn’t specifically lit for this video. The cinematic lightning just radiates from his aura.
If only it were that easy😂
@@WilliamHBaker It would be convenient but it would also make the filmmaking process quite uneventful and boring.
@@simonlegosson7082 Very true! I do like a challenge!
Actually unbelievable. Was hard to even see which one was which in the end. Fantastic!
Blind idiot
It's one thing to recreate a shot of high budget movies at home without budget. But It's on a whole other level to also film yourself in the process from start to finish, make the BTS look cinematic and keeping it interesting. Great work as always! Can't wait for your first full length movie 🎥
This is one of the best videos on UA-cam of 2024.
this comming from you is stunning but deserved.
I found the BAT! And it’s Will!! ❤️🎉
Hitler Smith?
@@Alfenium Bro?💀
EDEN is also amazing
William's Neighbours be like: Martha he has lit the fire in is parking space dressed up as BATMAN ! Another average Monday in William's neighborhood.
"Martha!? Why did you say that name!?!?!?"... wait wrong Batman
I honestly couldn’t tell which was which. INCREDIBLE. Also the video on the whole was just top notch. Glad I subbed
He casually created a short film on recreating a movie scene. Look at that cinematography, listen to that soundtrack and dialogue... This. Is. Cinema.
Everyone who worked not just the scene, but also the video has done an impeccable job!
Most memorable video of 2024. already watched 4 times on 1x.
I really like people like you. Most youtubers would throw a light behind a model and put in the title "WE MADE BATMAN IN 24 HOURS!!1!?". The effort you put in to actually make a correct-scale fire, the water details, the haze which improves the scene's color, the extra smoke behind the fire. All of these little details add diminishing returns to the final picture, and most people would probably not care/notice. But in my eyes it's that last 10% that really separates "budget batman" from "Batman". Another great video from you!
Agree with your comment but heads up that’s not what “diminishing returns” means or how it’s used
@@bamflyer English is got my first language so maybe i did something wrong with the grammar, but I think the meaning is correct? (the more you add, the less of a difference it makes.)
You know, the basic shot is car, water, fire. I was saying all of the details he added only made the shot 10% "better" but that difference is actually HUGE in my eyes. That last 10% takes the whole thing from good to great.
@@theteddychannel8529 ahh okay, never mind you used it correctly but this wording made more sense 🙏🏼
Incredible work on the compositing
Genuinely was too hard to tell which was which at the end. Absolutely incredible work. This deserves some kind of award.
The pacing and storytelling of your videos are incredible. I can't imagine the amount of work it takes to put one of these together. Instant subscription from me.
Apart from the amazing shot, the whole video itself, its cinematography, the storytelling was just AMAZING. It really locks in a person and grabs their attention. Incredible! So underrated
this was lovely watch. i'm always compelled by your low-budget reproductions of scenes. they're a reminder that ingenuity can take you pretty far
This has to be one of the best videos of 2024!

Dayummm, dude. I can't even find the original one in the final reveal.

The Batman video was insanely good, but somehow this making off is even better. You've truly outdone yourself-fantastic job!

geez did you see that? there was like an entire team behind this whole thing helping him, and like i swear it was done on a road, like seriously the commintment for just one shot is insane-
more than these shot recreations, your way of telling story and your voice is extremely impressive.
This is absolutely amazing! Love it.
his is some of the most incredibly resourceful film making I've ever seen, great job! I legit thought that it was the original scene at first!
This was storytelling at its FINEST! Great outcome as well!

It was really difficult to compare those two versions because you did an amazing job, just wow!
That was incredible! Good job man!
I really feel that you should get in touch with corridor digital and do a "on the couch" talk about film and your process recreating shots. You and your teams work blows my mind every time, and I'm sure corridor would think the same
This was amazing to watch!! Honestly I couldn’t tell which was which.
I just Discovered this channel and I'm already loving the effort and dedication of this guy. Kudos!
And one more thing that one of the things that kept me hinged on the video is the sound design, the choice of music, it's epic, hats-off man
Great Job!

Dude I can't say which one is which , you are keeping my interest in filmmaking intact. Awesome video !
You keep outdoing yourself! Congrats to you and your crew I am proud of you and your work❤
Too many people skip to end of videos like this. This entire video is shot BEAUTIFULLY.
First time seeing your channel, this was really beautiful! The fact that the BTS shots were also done in such a cinematic way was the absolute icing on the cake! Looking forward to explore your channel for a bit, keep it up!
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it!!
Absolutely amazing! And I so like your enthusiasm!
that's solid my friend, great work! It just goes to show, you have to put in the effort. It's not about a set guideline of rules but a mix of experience, curiosity and a willingness to fail and fail till you succeed. That perceived knowledge that grows into wisdom through trial and the tortures of error.
Another absolute master class in technical filmmaking!!
Dude! That was such a great work. Keep it going man, love your art. Cheers from Brazil 🤙
I guess this is how they made things back in the days.. I'm blown away! You and your team did a great job!
Compositing was a lot harder back in the day!
At 0:10 how did you do the rotating shot from the top?
Probably a post prod rotation

you are one of the most talented peapole on youtube, your videos are amazing and the shot its look exactly like the movie yo literily cant tell the difference
Another fantastic piece of filmmaking! It would be nice to see a longer cut including the compositing process because that is just masterful.
I'm heading of to Uni to study film production next year but videos like this just get me hyper. Been watching your stuff for a while and I think you've totally convinced me practical film making is my path. I've been using blender for 7 ish years now and have developed most of my camera terminology and skills from making CGI short films etc, unfortunately I haven't had the people, money or equipment to do as much practical film making as I would like but fingers crossed a proper studio at university will change that. Seriously man from the bottom of my heart thank you for lighting up my day with your incredible talent, even if it's just 12 minutes!
this vid should have millions of views not just 43k!
This is incredible! YOU NAILED IT! keep it up! 🔥
Amazing how you have recreated it and be so close!! Wonderful job!
