Brother thank you for this video. I’ve been looking for someone to relate to. A few months ago my dad had a stroke, and my life changed that day. He had a massive stroke as well and since then he hasn’t been able to speak. He is able to say a few words at a time etc but it’s not the same dad I always knew. I just love my dad so so much as you probably love your dad. It just really hurts brother. I have a good family, but it really hurts bro. I still cry atleast once a week or so cause it just hurts me so so much. I don’t know if I will ever heal from it. Just sucks bro.
Tony God bless you bro and real talks recovery, God bless you too, and your father's. Praying that God be with you two and all of your family and that your dad's have a full recovery 🙏🏼
My dad had a stroke 4 months ago and I wish he was as positive as your dad My dad has developed depression and I am try so hard to motivate him to recover but it’s difficult I know for a fact that if he pushes through and does his daily exercises he will recover faster, I have already seen the recovery happening but he doesn’t think he will be able to walk again and I know he will be able to but sometimes it’s just hard to motivate him
Candy, the best thing I can tell you is to just keep encouraging him. My dad is just over 8 months into his recovery and he has those bouts of depression as well. It’s tough for everyone, but it’s hard for me to imagine what our fathers are going through. Keep going strong 💪💪
@@RealRecoveryTalk. thank you It’s good to hear your story, feel like I’m not alone in this life changing experience and that if other people are pushing through, I can too I would have never thought I would go through this at 19 but I knew life would is never perfect and that there will always be challenges that we have to over come to become better and stronger
How is your dad now? My dad had a major stroke 2 weeks ago I haven’t handled it great I’ve been drinking and taking drugs I feel like he’s so strong but I’m just mentally weak
Hey there! Fortunately my dad is doing well. He is living with me which has its challenges of course. Try and hold it together because your dad needs you to be strong in this time! If you need anything you can email me at Tom@realrecoverytalk.com
