We stayed there also in late September, 2020, probably just a couple days before you going by your upload date. I think your review was accurate. Very nice people running it.
Thanks for stopping by and for the comment! Yes, the fire pit location is interesting! As I mentioned in the video, this KOA isn’t perfect but it does have a lot going for it. You’ll really enjoy the views, it’s pretty amazing. Happy trails and be safe. 😎
Tbh I like your criticism. But I don’t like the campground where it’s at. KOA use to be up past the Goulding’s grocery store, maybe, another mile up the road in what was known as the gap. It’s a Goulding’s RV/campground now. Good video!
When were you there? How "open" was the area? I know the Navajo nation was closed for quite a while due to COVID. We are considering staying here in June of this year (21).
Hi, thanks for the question! We were there first week of October 2020. At that time everything was pretty open. We only stayed one night and did go to Goldings grocery store (about 2 miles down the road) and they were open. I don’t know how things stand now. As my review mentions, it’s a nice KOA and the views were great. Monument Valley is a special place.

Great video! 👏🏼
We are going here in Oct 21. I can't believe the placement of the fire pits! But, the views are amazing.

Thank you for the comment! When we went over to Goulding’s Store, we drove back into the gap and saw that campground. It was really nice!

Are all the fire pits like that?
@LetsGoMayMay Hello…thanks for visiting our channel. Yes, unfortunately all the fire pits we observed appeared to be positioned the same way.
I mean....you're in the middle of the desert, yet you complain about the red clay and being dusty. 😐 Good grief.
Thank you for the comment and visiting our channel.
KOA always has small sites.
