Hi! (Also replying to your previous comment) Nice to hear you from other side of Atlantic Ocean 😊You have so many different species of red fish, wow! Such an interesting fact that almost 50 years ago you were fishing in Zeimena river! I can only imagine how much more fish used to be there at that times. Nowadays Zeimena is one of the most important Lithuanian rivers of salmon spawning. Fishing here possible only in accordance with catch & release method. Probably the strongest and the biggest salmons in whole Europe are coming every autumn in Zeimena river, as this spawning journey is one of the longest in whole Europe (around 500km up-stream), thus it is so protected by enthusiasts. Regarding quite rare Atlantic Salmon in you country - probably the main reason is huge amount of damns? Also very intensive commercial fishing? What's your thoughts?
@@IgnasDaugela Yes Zeimena river is fantastic tributary full of grayling, rainbow trout and salmon. Old days while fishing this river I was targeting grayling while fly fishing. Good memories. Lake Ontario where I currently run successful fishing charter business Atlantic Salmon used to be native fish. Back in early 1900s fish population was decimated due to commercial overfishing and lamprey eel invasion (this parasite eel attacks mature fish and sucks blood out of it). No commercial fishing using nets is allowed on Lake Ontario today. Some small scale commercial fishing is allowed for fish like perch (eserys) and pickerel- walleye (vegele). In mid 1950s Ontario and New York state learned how to control population of Lamprey eel and started successful introduction of Pacific and Coho salmon. Atlantic salmon was introduced much later and still is in low numbers. All our salmon are resident to Great Lakes and does not migrate to the ocean as your Lithuanian Atlantic salmon does. About half of reproduction is natural, the rest is supported via fish hatcheries. Total amount of salmon in a lake is balance with amount of food available (biomass). Pacific salmon life span is 5-6 years and after spawning in rivers in goes dead. Atlantics do spawn several times before dying. We are lucky to have several spices of trout in Great Lakes: rainbow (steelhead), brown, lake trout, speckled trout. There is only one dam on St. Lawrence river above city of Montreal that causing problem to migratory fish like North American eel. I do promote catch and release policy on my boat. Otherwise each fisherman can have up to 5 fish of which only 2 can be trout. Good luck. Captain Bob. Salmon Catcher fishing charters. Toronto, Canada.
Nerealios abi dalys :) Pagarba žuviai ir teisingas požiūris į gamtą, labai smagiai susižiurėjo. Keep going! P. S. Ateityj reiktų mikrofono prie kameros, nes kartais labai sunkiai girdisi.
Very nice video with good fishes, but Why did You released pike? I don't eat fish but when catch pike in rivers where is salmon, I'm trying to take them home to somebody who eats them, so there is less danger to salmon population.
Brawo super 👏👏👍
Laukiu nesulaukiu naujos croixų serijos su tinkamais ilgiais ir pagaliau pradėsiu savo lašišos svajonę❤️
Labas. Ar tu keiti rogosam kablius? Jei taip, i kokius?
