I remember trying to get a job at my high school lunch lines freshman year. I’d get a free lunch and $8 a day until my senior year. For a kid with parents who weren’t giving him lunch money and basically malnourished him, that was a golden opportunity. Unfortunately my dad didn’t sign the work permit in time and I didn’t get the job. Mee too until my grandmother stopped buying jelly and I had to eat peantbutter sandwiches (Soo dry and thick😖) and if I forgot or couldn't finish a sandwich she would leave it in there for the next day (which is wayyy worse than it sounds)🤢
Tetris is one of the best games ever (I got 2 million points once ngl I was really into Tetris) wish I could play the EA version again, it was a really nice version and the one I played all the time
my very first job was in the school library. The librarians adored me and even gave me a book about dragons for Christmas one year. I loved how laid back the job was, I could work with the books, or if I was behind on school work I could just say ‘hey, I’m kinda behind on this assignment...do you mind if i do my homework instead?’ And they would always let me. It was like an emergency, backup study hall. One time, I was, you know, BLAH, and was having a rough day, and the head librarian was like ‘why don’t you just sit in the back and draw and have some quiet time, it’s fine.’ It actually really helped and the rest of the day went way better, and you know what, THEY STILL PAID ME FOR THE DAY. Lol I was shocked.
Listening to this story reminds me of my days: I remember people, students, used to work in this storage like room where they served the lunches but some students were so rude that they push pass and get the food. The people serving didn't think so much of it and it drove me crazy! I would get piss off and the teachers didn't do much about it at all but somehow they decided to switch things around. :/

Tetris is one of the best games ever (I got 2 million points once ngl I was really into Tetris) wish I could play the EA version again, it was a really nice version and the one I played all the time
my very first job was in the school library. The librarians adored me and even gave me a book about dragons for Christmas one year. I loved how laid back the job was, I could work with the books, or if I was behind on school work I could just say ‘hey, I’m kinda behind on this assignment...do you mind if i do my homework instead?’ And they would always let me. It was like an emergency, backup study hall. One time, I was, you know, BLAH, and was having a rough day, and the head librarian was like ‘why don’t you just sit in the back and draw and have some quiet time, it’s fine.’ It actually really helped and the rest of the day went way better, and you know what, THEY STILL PAID ME FOR THE DAY. Lol I was shocked.

Listening to this story reminds me of my days: I remember people, students, used to work in this storage like room where they served the lunches but some students were so rude that they push pass and get the food. The people serving didn't think so much of it and it drove me crazy! I would get piss off and the teachers didn't do much about it at all but somehow they decided to switch things around. :/
