Much respect to Denis Manning AND T. C. Christensen, two guys who took twin engine Nortons to their Max...back in the day when the "Modern motorcycle era" was just beginning...
Beautiful bike ! TYVM for sharing . Being born in 1970 I grew up around British bikes & as a kid remember that a lot of the motorcyclists who wanted very seriously fast street bikes chose Norton's over Triumph's & BSA's . & even after the Japanese finally started beating the British in straight lines the British bikes were still ahead of them in the suspension Dept. A lot of us look back on those British bikes with great fondness & as a teenager my heart broke when the Triumph & Norton factories closed in the 80's . The parralell twins also made some beautifully aesthetic Bobbers & Choppers of the era, though to be fair the CB 750's & KZ 900's did as well.
So what u guys are telling me Bonneville is flat smooth piece if ground you guys are removing the shocks it that smooth,I thought it was a little patches in some areas that's not the case its super smooth that isn't what I heard or does uthe weather keep it interesting....I know safety is important does the official club do any kind of maintenance of the surface.....???? Just curious no shocks there gone replaced by solid steel struts....
So the Norton streamlined what do u do about the kick stand as u are coming to a stop how do u keep from falling over like a dork...not that I want to drive one or mmm nothing I just got questions I stick the Honda NSR 500 F1 bike for now but I interested in knowing and it must be a little out of sorts after going close to 250 mph tough to get your wits at 25mph to get that kick stand out or what no...just wondering that pretty fast 279 that more than whistling Dixie good looking bike thanks for piece...cool man....

Another great short video Filmfischer -- Without these videos this history would be lost.
Please keep them coming.
What a history! The 70's was a great time in racing.
