    Great video. I expressed full time for over a year and lots of it was trial and error!! Wish I’d seen this then especially as the bottle clip area near the button was so hard to clean and would get smelly as you can’t get onto the crevices! Just wanted to point out the 2 little suction holes on the shield need to be checked as they do get clogged sometimes with dried milk particularly if you’re ever pumping elsewhere and can’t immediately rinse them. I also didn’t boil mine and just washed with mild dish soap but the one time I did, they warped slightly but they kindly sent replacements!😊

      Do you store the electronic part of the pump in the fridge too or just the rinsed parts? And stupid question - what do you mean by dry seal?

    • @oliviarand8453
      @oliviarand8453  2 роки тому +1

      The electronic parts do not go in the fridge I keep them in my bag only the parts that come off so they go in the fridge the steel is the green disk that creates the suction to make sure it’s fully dry or the moisture will cause the suction to fail

    Sorry if I'm repeating. Can I just clarify. Initial use you steralised all parts (apart from the hub),
    when it comes to cleaning take it apart once a week for a deep clean, between sessions you just rinse and dry or store it in a ziplock bag and in the fridge. Is this correct?
    If yes, does this mean you don't steralise but just rinse wash it and dry or store in fridge.
    Thank you for your help xx

    Hey! I can’t remember if you explained in the video or not, but there are actually instructions to removing the clip on Elvies website. It made it so much easier for me to remove mine!
    “To remove the bottle release ring:
    1. Remove the bottle by pressing the bottle release button.
    2. Hold the hub upside down, (the black semicircle on the base of the hub should face upwards) and ensure that the release button is facing away from you.
    3. Place the pads of your thumb inside of the ring at 3 o' clock and 9 o' clock and gently pull your thumbs away from each other.
    4. Push the ring slightly forwards, so that the side closest to you pops out.
    5. To reinsert, feed the button through the hole in the hub so that it protrudes and gently snap the remainder of the ring back in place.”
