I always enjoy these, but Martin's underscore of the New Testament being written in Greek really struck me. Carry on, Mr. Cothran! Don't let Tanya put you down! 😁
Hosea 4:6 KJV [6] My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. I understand the necessity to 'separate' reason and faith in order to explain it. But it always seemed to me a misunderstanding of what faith is when people put it as something, either contrary to faith or being something unique, that should be added to the faith. I've read the Bible a few times already, and every time, all I see is God demanding His people to read and understand His word. The apostles were recognized as have walked with Christ because of how full of knowledge and wisdom they were. The Bible demands intelligence from us. Jesus says we should be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Not once does it allow us to be 'dumb.'
Classical educator here. I’m wondering what you need in terms of qualifications to teach at Memoria Academy. I have seen that I can apply on the website, but what are the general qualifications or requirements? Thanks in advance!
Jessica is fantastic!
She is calm, controlled with a great sense of humor!
That was great. Thank you very much Memoria Press.
This really was a great episode. I love when the group dives into faith and early Christianity
I'm with Tanya on all things British! Whatever the topic, I will usually pick a British version over others.
Me too.
Great episode as always. where is Shane, we miss him.
Thank you for your kind words! Shane and his family have moved. We miss him dearly, but love the new addition of Jessica to the table!
The Maude translation of War and Peace is fantastic.

Escoffie is the proverbial Bible for all professional chefs.
Martin, I don’t think you realize just how right you were.

Your chit-chat is so goofy.
