Not that it matters, but here’s my input from someone with a quest 3: The PSVR2 is a better experience (especially once we get PC support later this year) in large part due to the better light blocking, sound, comfort, and eye tracking. The main downside is that it is plug in only and is hardwired so if your cable breaks you’re screwed The Quest 3 is probably the best single headset you can buy. Not only is it capable of PCVR, but an increasing number of releases are coming to just quest or quest first. It lacks some nice features like eye tracking and foveated rendering (and seriously not being able to maintain battery while plugged into a PC is criminal) but if you HAVE to pick one… it’s the one
not being able to maintain battery isn't the fault of the headset. It depends on how much power your motherboard outputs, and for most it drains more than it charges. If you buy a third party link cable like the INIU cable. you can plug in a charger into a secondary port and charge while you play. The real thing that's criminal is how awful the performance is through link. I've tried all the software that you can use to hook it up to a PC. 4:25 to be fair, that is kind of your fault if you do that, if you yourself choose the lamest way to play a game then you can't really blame the game for something you decided to do
If you can choose the lamest way to play, that lamest way is part of the game. Great experiences come from making you feel immersed, which means the game has to restrain me from choosing the easiest way out and actually make me think (if the game revolves around challenge in some way). If not, I could say: the right way to play Arkham Asylum is to never get hit, and if you get hit, you're playing the lame way. Why not? Where's the limit, if not in the game itself?
@@federicosamsa you are talking about playing perfectly, that's not the same what I'm talking about. You have the option to cheat too, there is nothing stopping you, but it would be really weird if you blamed the game when you cheated, right? You can play the game that way, but you can play the game in many different ways. If *you* choose the way to play the game, that is entirely on *you* because *you* made the conscious decision to play like that
@@bird9188 How is it different to play perfectly and play "doing certain stuff that you can also avoid doing"? What's the difference in forcing you to play in a certain way..or forcing you to play in a certain way? Also, cheats usually are bugs (so yeah, mistakes that influence the experience) or manipulations of game files, not exactly diegetic. The classic example is Dark Souls: you can't choose the level of difficulty, you're forced to master the combat system through hoards of enemies and/or unbalanced attack power, sometimes you're even forced to read descriptions to understand where to go or what to do. It makes you play in a certain way, because it forces you, you don't need to force yourself. You accept it or you leave it, it's up to you. Dark Souls' problem in this sense is the possibility to farm, which at least is very tedious, so it encourages you to play better, but you're still able to force through it. Again, imagine Arkham games, but Batman is very resistant to bullets: all the stealth gameplay becomes useless. You couldn't blame a player if he never experienced stealth, because he doesn't need to. Since they wanted to make you experience it, they made the bullets deadly, and they still didn't go all the way in, since the design doesn't oblige you to actually use all the gadgets. Another classic example is Metal Gear Solid: it is intended to be a stealth game where you don't even kill, but if you do, the game acknowkedges it and varies some outcomes. That's what I'm talking about. If you want me to watch a movie in the jungle, make it available only in the jungle, don't release it on streaming services
@@federicosamsa none of this is relevant to my comment. You as a person has agency, you can choose to do things or choose not to do them, but it's your decision and you can only blame yourself
I mean, I understand the criticisms of Blackgate's combat, but I also feel you're nitpicking just a little bit. The combat never stopped me from enjoying the game, personally. Though mainly that's because the story was very underwhelming despite all the potential it had. Edit: As for whether I'll get the game... I'm not sure. I don't necessarily mind there being a VR Arkham game. I mean, there's literally a game called Arkham VR. And while this will probably be way better, the biggest problem with both games is that they're very exclusive and only on one type of VR headset. Which is disappointing. I still haven't been able to get my hands on Rocksteady's attempt at a VR Arkham game, and the same will probably be true of this game, as well. Which sucks.
@@smittyvanjagermanjenson182 I don't even have an opinion on the product. Maybe it's just the way he wrote his own script, but to me it definitely comes across as full of pre-written positive journalist buzzwords

4:25 to be fair, that is kind of your fault if you do that, if you yourself choose the lamest way to play a game then you can't really blame the game for something you decided to do
This is such a dogsh*t take
If you can choose the lamest way to play, that lamest way is part of the game.
You as a person has agency, you can choose to do things or choose not to do them, but it's your decision and you can only blame yourself
mo vbucks mo problems
Troy Baker said he liked that shirt so now I can never get rid of it
@@ThatBoyAqua yooooo i don't blame u king.
They really didn't let you deviate from that script haha. sad.
Can't handle when someone enjoys something you blindy want to dislike? Haha Sad.
@@smittyvanjagermanjenson182 I don't even have an opinion on the product. Maybe it's just the way he wrote his own script, but to me it definitely comes across as full of pre-written positive journalist buzzwords
