    Good evening Charlie…. Looking at the morning mist when you first climbed that big hill was breathtaking. Oh my goodness, there’s some beauty way up looking back. It’s always a great pleasure for me to watch your videos Charlie. I hope to be out hiking soon, when the ice is gone from our woodsy trails and beaches. My knee surgery is healing nicely. Take care my friend. All the best to you n yours. Here’s, LilliStJohn 👌🤗😇

Such a wonderful part of the country and the views of the South Shiel ridge particularly enticing. Great video, Charlie, of some of my favourite mountains close to home. Yesterday morning the midges really were dreadful - the worst they have been here all year - and on my bike ride up the hill yesterday morning they were hitting my face like needles! Clear to see from your pictures that the hill grasses and reeds in this area are now well developed with autumn colours. The descent from Gleouraich down its south ridge is a delight and I am surprised and disappointed by the number of forest tracks that have been built in Glen Quoich and are now visible from the ridge. The weather did indeed come in quickly yesterday and it went very thundery. However, we had little rain in Invermoriston although Inverness took a beating with water coming through the roof at a major supermarket !! Looking forward to the next one. Best regards, Ian.

    • @charliemccartney7055
      @charliemccartney7055  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Ian, We just needed another couple of hours and things would have gone to plan. There certainly seems to be a lot more estate tracks grown through the years and the ones associated with the water management. They would no doubt suggest for increased revenue? The summer is marching on so we are trying to get north of the great glen before the days shorten. Cheers, Charlie.

    I need some advice! Hey Charlie and fellow Munro Baggers. I am from Manchester, so I tend to do Munro bagging as a treat. Once or twice a year I end up in the Highlands! I love a bit of grade 1/2 scrambling and need some advice on what I should do next! The following list is what I have done and please let me know ur all time favourite Munro walk too. (Pls forgive my spelling - a spell check would take too long :) )
    1. Bauchielle etive Mor - via the standard route up the Corrie.
    2. Bidean Nam Bian - circular route from Glencoe valley including the lost/hidden valley
    3. Ben Nevis via the CMD arete
    4. Ben More Assynt and Conival from Ichnadamph
    5. Sgurr Alasdair via the Great Stone Chute (was supposed to do more of Skye but unfortunately my friend gathered an injury)
    6. I have bagged the other Munro's on the above routes too as expected!
    I'm thinking the Torridon range as my next spot to visit. Feel free to mention any other peaks I should definitely bag asap!
    P.s. I do have a reasonable (but not perfect!) head for heights having done various lakes ridges (striding, sharp edge). Also in Snowdonia, I have done Crib Gogh and Tryfan north ridge. Hope this gives a good idea of what I want to do!
    Cheers, Joe

  • @normansmith7520

    Another superb video. I did these (two) clockwise as you have that great stalkers path going up and having little to no path going down isn't so much of a pain! The northern corrie is spectacular. Love the occasional photos from past visits you include. Do you still take stills?(!) I've been through your pbase gallery which is really inspirational but no new pics? Glad you got off the hill safely. Lightning and power lines are not a good combination. I like your route up Sgurr a' Mhaoraich, much quicker than the circuit with Am Bathaich, although that's a fine walk.
