Hey love, if you are interested in my hair growth videos you can start with my rice water series here - ua-cam.com/video/IidoeJnY73k/v-deo.html PS. The lip gloss on my teeth was so annoying but i can't re-film my first impression and i wanted this to be authentic. lol
Patricia Allison is a black British actress who wears her natural hair out a lot. She’s plays Ola in Sex Education on Netflix and rocks a short curly high top fade kinda style. I loved that the biracial and black actresses in that show were mostly natural because it targets a younger audience and I’d hope it helps young adults or teens watching it to feel confident to do the same. My daughters and son are all biracial and all have different hair types but I try to teach them all that all their hair types are equally beautiful and they shouldn’t be afraid to wear their hair out proudly just like anyone else.
I find this video really interesting, especially when she said "I would like To play someone who actually look like me". It's was a lil bit sad
Yeah it was, things seem to be changing though so hopefully we can see more representation on screen moving forward 💖
All naturals: I tend to be heavy handed...
Kat Graham: Hold my beer
😂
😂 😂 😂 Tjoh
😂😂😂 my husband better thank his lucky stars I don’t use my natural products like that
Kat is so beautiful her skin looks good and she is so raw and genuine. I am a huge fan of hers. Now I definitely cringed with not her using heat to stretch her hair alot of naturals do if that's what she wants to do than kudos to her. But honestly on fine hair picks suck. Anytime i use a pick it picks my hair right along with it. Occasionally now I will use it only to lift up my roots. Also I thought Kat's in wigs in VDs were trash!!!!! I was so glad when she had her bob in season 4 and so on she was looking like a whole new girl. Anywho I am just glad to see her embracing her texture it was so sad but very very true.
thanks for sharing 💖
She seems so clueless about her natural hair, just ripping it out from the roots. I was there once but UA-cam has helped me a lot.
Yeah i was clueless at one point too. unfortunately if you don't know you don't know. she's on her way though and at least she's learning. It's a good start. 💖
She's still on her journey, she will learn eventually
Yes I was so surprised by this. Doesn’t Kat have a Black hair stylist that has treated her hair? Her whole beauty routine was cringy and hard to watch.
she’s really clueless due to her treatment on the vampire diaries. being forced to wear wigs constantly and never having the chance to experiment with her natural hair.
She has thin hair which makes it easy to pick through.
she doesn't know what she's doing yall she saying it the video she has heat damage and she's used to having a sew-in or wig she doesn't know how to take care of her hair shes learning
So what type of comb would you recommend for 4c Coarse hair ? I noticed you said Afro picks just cause breakage which I’ve noticed but I have no idea as a black male what type of comb I can use to detangle short 4c hair safely 😅
a tangle teezer or a denman brush💖💖
...Or jus using ur fingers my guy. Whichever works best for u (trial & error)
Definitely a Denman brush it’ll make your curls pop
An Afro pick of fine if you hair is cut low to the scalp but if longer and you are trying to grow it out use a wide tooth comb or denman brush. Afro picks are useful for maintaining the Afro style jut to pick certain areas to form the Afro but not to pick your hair from root to tip since this will rip your hair out from the scalp
The black rice oil....please try that Angiee. I'm from the Bahamas and I love your videos.
aww thank you 💖
Can someone please explain why Kat first blow dried her hair to then to slab on a leave in conditioner to make it wet again? I’ve never seen or heard anyone doing it in this order.
I have the same hair texture, density and curl pattern as Kat Graham which is TYPE 4A. I went to a natural hair care professional who did a porosity test and identified my curl pattern as type 4A. With type 4A hair you can see a spring like curl pattern without products applied whereas 4b and 4c hair looks like cotton where the curl pattern is not visible unless product is applied. Angiebee I noticed when you saw Kat’s texture after she applied the Cantu treatment you said oh her hair is more a 3C. But that’s not accurate because she still has type 4 hair. Remember that when you apply product like a conditioner, a curling custard and even water to type 4A hair, the curl pattern loosens temporarily to look like type 3C sometimes 3B.
I watched her video too! So glad you got around to watching it. You definitely should try the Manuka oil😊👏🏾
I'll check it out! and thanks for watching 💖
Kat should definitely subscribe hahahaaaaa...btw I loooooveeee your attitude girl
lol thanks girl 💖
I absolutely love your UA-cam channel!! I learned something in this one! I did not know u should use oil to remove your makeup before washing your face with your facial cleanser. I use to use those wipe removers as well but it was so harsh on my skin! Thanks so much Angiebee! U are awesome!!
Glad it was helpful! and thanks for watching!💖
I wish i could easily pack my hair to the back like she did 😂😂😂 my thick hair wouldn't allow me. Please more of this reaction video.
If your hair stretched and blow dried like Kat did then it’s possible
As I’m live watching I’ll comment lol.
1. Zazie Beetz kinda rocks her natural hair and she’s light skinned. I think she is type 4. She was in Deadpool and the Joker and she’s in Atlanta.
2. When she pulled out the Cantu I was like oh nah. I’ve tried Cantu and my hair didn’t like it. Smh. Glad she likes it though
3. Omg when she cried I got so sad. I have a biracial niece and I thought omg I’ll never let her go through this if I can (she has type 3 hair though). I had to learn to love my hair. It’s hard for us type 4 women. We are taught to hate our hair from a young age but like you said once I learned how to deal with it I loved it so much and this is the healthiest it’s ever been in my life.
4. I agree with you! Vogue and harpers bazaar lets see some more black women showing their real hair and skin routines! It’s about time! Like Kat said Hollywood needs to do better creating roles where black women can play characters that they actually look like! Her video really made me sad so I’m glad you reacted to it. I was curious on other’s thoughts on it and comments sometimes aren’t enough lol.
oh cool, i just googled Zazie, i do know her! thanks so much for sharing, i agree with all your thoughts
I have heard of Manuka honey but not oil. Yes, locate and try please. Love your channel I just found over a week ago and have been on a bindge! I also want to see you do your makeup.
Omg so glad you’re reacting to this. I haven’t even seen the video yet I just wanted to let you know lol.
lol thanks! Hope you enjoyed it! 💖
I know I'm late, but I love your reaction to this video. As a multiracial person, this video helped me realize and embrace where I am in my hair journey!!!!! P.S. where did you get your earring from 😍😍?
Glad it helped and thank you for watching. i believe i got these earings from a local beauty supply store 💖
Hi,
Great vlog.
NB: It would be if you can do a full wash day routine using the full range of Argan Oil production range. If you're in the UK, the B&M stores have a few of these products at great prices. Contrary to what most people may think, the shampoo, hair and conditioner of this range is great for Afro hair, as well as, the oil. Some Afro hair doesn't thrive with heavy products. Using the Argan Oil hair mask on the weekly basis has grown my hair tremendously in just 6 months.
Hello, Thanks for sharing and for the idea! 💖
Manuka oil?
Hi AngieBee. I have enjoyed a ton of your videos. In two of the videos that I have just watched today, I noticed that your description/understanding of 3C hair is inaccurate.
3C & 4A has the TIGHTEST curl patterns that there is; our curls are not loose. Many UA-camrs make that error when referring to our curl type.
Likewise, although type 4 has the tightest texture... many folks with 3C hair also have tight textures. For example: my hair shrinks more than yours! Moreover, 3C hair is black hair and not mixed hair. The looser curls are 3B (like Tracy Ellis Ross), and 3A. These curl types are mostly of folks who are a mixed race. You can visit my channel and see my hair texture if you would like. I am the poster child for 3C. My curls are very tight, and my shrinkage is 50% or higher... depending on the products. Your hair looks like 4B. Just FYI
Thank you for this informative comment 👏🏽. There is a lot of misunderstanding and misidentifying of hair type. I have type 4A hair with some 3C towards the side and back. Yes my curls are tight and I have lots of shrinkage. The difference between type 3C/4A and 4B/C hair is the visibility of the curl pattern when no product or water is applied. With type 3C/4A hair you can see an “S” shaped curl pattern that looks like a spring (like the one inside of a retractable pen). Whereas 4B & 4C hair looks more like cotton where the curls are not visible not even when wet.
I like your tips on taking care of natural hair
Thank you
