Our ancestors managed to make all kinds of preserved food based on the unique natural environment and weather of Yunnan, of which ham is a typical example. It is also the soul of Yunnan cuisine. Smothered rice with ham in copper pot, papaya chicken with ham and stir-fried vegetables with ham are all very delicious.

These videos make me so emotional, I grew up in and out of social care. Mostly living on the street. I never new my parents or family. I love how this family all comes together to help prepare the evening meal. Food preparation is a great way to bond with family members young and old. I’d give anything to live with my grandparents and parents and siblings (if I have any) ❤️
Families don't have to be blood related. I understand you long for your grandparents and parents, I wish you find a loving family of your own some day, however it may look like.

I just watched an interview and knew that Dianxi Xiaoge was a policewoman before, then her father was ill so she decided to return back to the village and take care of her family. To have a revenu (in her village it's impossible to find a job) she started to make videos but during first years it was hard and it didn't bring her an income. Fortunately she didn't give up and is today followed by more and more people.

푸짐하게 요리해서 야외에서 개 포함 가족들과 밥을 먹는게 너무 정겹고 감동적입니다. 사는게 뭐 별거 있습니까? 저렇게 가족과 함께 같은 상에 앉아서 정겹게 같이 식사하는게 사는 것이고 행복이지.

촬영의 수준이나 방식, 편집을 보면 완전히 연출입니다. 배우가 각본에 따라 하는 것일 가능성이 높다고 봅니다....실제 시골 생활이 저렇게 보기 좋고 원활하지는 않죠

I grow up in that kind of life, not enymore tho. I miss my country food made from my village ;~;
but there's nothing simple about work around a farm.
not every tracks of land is a good soil to grow any crops of your wishes. not every one on agriculture businesses is blessed with know-hows from their family and late ancestors. regardless of you failed or success to reap harvest, you still need to preserve food all year long.

Haha, I think people in Yunnan just do this every year, so whenever they want to eat it, they eat the ham prepared many yeas ago.
