I run Husqvarna X Pro for almost anything. I have a Shindaiwa 302x and run it wide open all the time while cutting (rubberbanded in) so I can time study. Tried many lines and usually get 1 hour of run time give or take 5 minutes per tank no matter the shape of the line , but with the X Pro I get 1 hour and 20 minutes give or take 5 minutes. Also, it cuts smooth and doesn't vibrate the hell out of my hands.
I like the square line for weeds and brush. I'm using the gator line currently .155 on my old 31cc Honda with the 3 line rapid loader head. It lasts longer enough so I don't mind the precut pieces. By all means soak the line, it keeps it from breaking.
Trying to talk a new customer of mine into taking out his 15-foot-tall bushes and grinding down quite a few stumps. It's in Grayson and I will get with you on that. You have to keep that Dodge you bought working!
I trim a lot of overgrown ditches and rough stuff. Shakespeare Ugly Line has been my go-to.
The rain definitely kills our schedules
Send some of that rain down here to N.C.
I pre-cut lengths of line, put them in a plastic coffee can with a sponge and some water.
Just grab one when I need one.
