Great summary of the 3 rule sets, I have played Never Mind the Billhooks and Barons War and enjoyed both of them. They both have their strengths and weaknesses but give great games, we are lucky to have so many good rulesets to choose from and I am looking forward to trying Blood and Crowns.
Thank you my friend glad you enjoyed the overview and found it enjoyable! For sure these three rulesets are very good . Blood and Crowns is a brilliant set of rules and you can find a lot of workshops on the channel to get a good idea how they work. Thank you for watching my friend!
Great video. My interest is primarily the Baron's Wars so TBW is of more interest than the other two. I often find that if rules are tailored towards a specific period they rarely transfer well to other periods given the difference in arms, armour and troop types. TBW seems to have more depth than Billhooks and gets a lot of support with supplements and campaigns.
I agree with you dear Edward period specific rules are not easy to adapt to other medieval eras even if the time difference is less than a century..and I confirm that Barons war has a lot of support with campaigns and supplements that spice up the game and add more options. Thank you for watching my friend!
This was tremendously insightful - I’ve not played Blood and Crowns yet but am very familiar with the core rules mechanics from Blood and Plunder. I can’t recommend Lion Rampant enough - like you said, every ruleset offers something different and isn’t for everyone, but I would genuinely love to get your impression of it if you give it a try.
Thank you my friend glad you enjoyed the overview! Yes i have not played Blood and Plunder but i was told the concepts are similar. Blood and Crowns are amazing for the HYW period. Unfortunately i have not read the rules yet but i am getting very good feedback all around.
Have you ever played saga? They have a crusades expansion. I have purchased Baron’s War and Blood and Crowns. Too Fat Lardies makes Sharpe Practice that is similar to Billhooks but for Napoleonic battles. Thanks for the video.
@edgarbryan9804 Thank you dear Bryan glad you enjoyed the video my friend! Both great rule sets in my opinion very different but both very enjoyable! I have not played SAGA but I have the feeling it is not my cup of tea although I am looking forward to the new HYW skirmish game they will release in collaboration with a friend of mine Medieval Historian Rob jones who is extremely knowledgeable on the period..so I am very hopeful and eager to read the rules when they release.. thank you for watching and commenting my friend!
Thank you my friend glad you enjoyed the overview! Yes there is a lot of content for both rules hopefully when I compete the Barons armies I will start same with Barons War rule set. Thank you for watching!
Glad you enjoyed the video my friend! This is one of my first matts every from ''Cigar Box'' if i am not mistaken it was called Western Europe something like that.
Thank you very much!!If you liked this video just wait when i will complete my Barons Armies and i am sure you will enjoy all the workshops and Battle Report i have planned. Thank you for watching my friend!
